It's cool, but it's not befitting IMO. It looks more like a nuclear explosion than a sun.

Yeah this. As much as I like cool changes, that just doesn't seem right.

I say keep the old halo 1 sun, this one looks like the sun is just a few mere miles away.

Question: Is this a single player map, a mini campaign or a campaign?

A rare sight, indeed.

Certainly upping the lights up and making it a bit more 'bloom' without the actual program itself, would make this much more unique and especially fit in with the "lush and vibrant" feel you have going.

I like the new one. I have to look at the regular one constantly; new one would be more pleasing.

I think you should tone the new one down by about 25% so I don't feel like a supernova is coming to kill me.

Mini-medium sized campaign methinks.

The new sun looks like the Halo ring just blew the hell up.
No lens flare?

When you look at the sun, the flare moves a little bit, and it dosen't really seen exactly like an explosion. I think I might keep it; it's unique and different and also seems to fit pretty well. I might be doing some modifications though.

Just don't make it as huge and distracting as it is right now. Perhaps tone down the flare and make the sun smaller?

Have you seen the flares that some distant stars can give off though?

Last time I checked, planets were round. Diamond sun is kind of weird, like the effect, but shape is bad.

uhhh suns are stars not planets :/

I remember that Inferno changed the FOV (I think) from 90 to 75 in TLMP, do you guys plan on doing that?

EDIT: Oh it was 85, my bad. Anyway I felt like it made aiming easier, but that might've just been in my head.

From the TLMP readme:

- Default Field of View is set to 85 on all of the maps

FOV is at 70 degrees by default, it works better really because the animations look better. Higher FOV is only useful for people playing in a non 4:3 ratio.

Never thought I would see the day when the people of Halomaps actually made something without internal conflict within the group, I'm hoping that this wont be your only project. Totally forgot about Lumoria. I didn't think it would last this long. It's probably the best project I've seen yet come out of this community, that is, if it does come out. You guys better not pull a Gamma on us : /

At time 0:04 on the youtube video the sun kinda just....explodes, for all of a second but i like the effect the sun still has with the trees. My only issue with the map would be that if the sun isn't fixed a little(not saying its bad) it would draw attention away from the other scenery due to the same issue in time 0:04.

At 0:04, I accidentally flew through the bottom of the map and water was bloomed up due to the sun

It can be sunny out and still have snow on the ground. It could be like the end of winter, where some snow is melted but some is also still left over. Personally, I like it.

Or it can be the far north, where the sun never goes below the horizon, but there is still ice and snow.

Uh, oh. Why I smell a fight brewing up(between two CMT leaders)? Anyway I sort of like the effect with the sun, now that I look at it more closely. It gives the feeling of spring, with the sun out, and snow. Keep up the good work!

Go to Colorado.

This. Or go to Canada if that doesn't convince you. I think the sun can work if toned down a bit in size. It's their world and it's a different region of the galaxy. Anything is nearly possible. Also Mountains have different scenarios regarding snow than standard terrain. It isn't uncommon to see snow on mountains while it is sunny in other words.

Whatever speeds up the process I guess. How are the animations going?
