If I want a mod to be compatible with offline-splitscreen, which is what it appears you're providing, what steps do I need to take in setting up my mapfile?
This is not compatible with OpenSauce, is that correct?
It will be compatible with Open Sauce maps. I'm working to make Tempera a replacement for important Open Sauce features.
Hang tight though, Open Sauce is massive.
Normally I keep things close to my chest and quiet until time to release, but in the hopes of getting the attention of people who can script in Lua, here goes.
Tempera is growing in size and work has begun to import features that Open Sauce already provides.

Forge Mode has been stripped out until I can do a complete rewrite of it. For those who've been around, Forge mode may look familiar:

I'm looking for help from people who know how to to write lua scripts. If you know how to write Lua scripts, and are willing to help a bit, please message me on either the Chimera or SPv3 discord servers.
@Stunt man - I'm going for splitscreen. It's a long shot, but I think I know what needs to be done for local MP to be a thing.
Hey, Malolo's still around. nice!
Not sure if this is the place to post about these things any more, but...
I have discovered how to get a (SEMI-WORKING) 2, 3, 4 person overlay. I'm going to look into how to render the HUDs, etc, next, and see if I can't do anything interesting with this. Skarma reverse engineered how to do PiP, so if worse comes to worse, i suppose I can use his work from that to get it to work. I think it would be neat, anyway.
Edit: There's still a lot of work to be done on it because the game crashes after 5-10 seconds, but I'd like to see where I can go with this over time. Edited by Dwood on Jun 10, 2016 at 10:59 PM
Editx2: Here's an imgur album of 2-person and 3-person overlays. http://imgur.com/a/K4CJT Edited by Dwood on Jun 10, 2016 at 11:14 PM Edited by Dwood on Jun 10, 2016 at 11:15 PM
As i've returned to this thread and forums, I'm kind of... disappointed. Perhaps I have rose-tinted glasses, but the level of maturity displayed here is pretty low.
Jesse: Try to install max 8 a 2nd time, in a different directory. I don't know what all that entails, but I'm sure there are apps that let you install twice. Edited by Dwood on Aug 4, 2015 at 12:43 AM
So, has OP fixed his problem? Or are we just arguing with each other about Windows versions?
First you need to use the OS version of the dedicated server, OR use OS inside your halo client. Next, you need to use Open-Sauce enabled maps (good luck finding them). Once you've reached those two milestones, it becomes "How do I host a server" and there's plenty of resources on this site for that.
I might get a job soon guys. Wish me luck.
Quote: --- Original message by: DaLode I've read could have been fixed by the OS team if they cared even just a little bit, made it that much easier to choose for keeping HAC2.
And, considering btc-22 or whoever is behind OS doesn't really care either, he's not going to fix it.

Hey guys i was wondering, I modded some stuff on Valhalla (riverworld.map)with Assembly But i have an issue concerning the modded .proj .
While i'm hosting, I'm the only one who is able to see modified .proj such as AR shooting rockets or so..
People see the regular ammo fired but take damage from the modified .proj...
Also I noticed that they can see modded vehi like warthog with scorpion turret etc.. Is it possible to make them see modded weapon without have to send them my tags.dat..?
Thanks Edited by Kahn on Jun 22, 2015 at 03:27 PM
It's just like modding halo 1 or halo pc. If you want others to see your mods, they gotta have them, too.

So the idea would be to keep the whole of the scripts confined to the scenario file. I still need some more research to get this thing working, but as you can tell, it's decent for script researching.
Eventually I'd like to figure out what EXACTLY the game is parsing through, because surely it's not parsing through the text!
Thanks to Kornman for making the BlamLib Library. While this app probably won't be Open Sourced, you can compile BlamLib and use all the libraries I am. The Testing units hold all the information you need. You can use blamLib to open up nearly any tag you want to, including Halo 2 Vista, Halo 3, and Reach! Edited by Dwood on May 14, 2015 at 06:33 PM

As someone who is in the know if you will, that statement is false and doesn't reflect any of the team's current states.
