^confirmed. It's not asking too much to request that you give credit to the people who made all that stuff you put into your map, is it? It is the product of someone else's hard work after all, especially in moses' case (he does everything by hand, and bounces his progress off of me for cirtique). It makes me feel good to see the community using my stuff, and I certainly appreciate it when people say "Thanks bro!". I'm sure most other people feel the same way, especially if your map is as successful as you said in the first post.

Hey Dennis, now I know you have some screwed up rules regarding what you consider to be someone's property after it goes through tool (which btw I didn't actually compile my models or textures, other people did) and cant comprehend the effort that's actually put into making models and textures and animations, but when someone takes as many things as this guy has, without giving any credit to the authors, and you don't give even half a crap, you make people like me not want to give stuff out for free. Do something about this please. For all the authors that had their stuff ripped. This is my being calm btw, I know your rules on profanity. Sorry about my borderline rage comment last night. When I found out this guy had taken stuff from multiple people (some that I actually know) including myself I admit I did get a little upset, but not much. It was when I heard about how you adhere to copyright rules in a black and white sense that added fuel to the flames. While I'm not nearly as mad now I would still like credit given. I never once compiled my models and textures for my magnum into tags meaning I never agreed to the eula saying I am giving them to microsoft. You can't accept an eula for someone and, like I mentioned earlier, at least the texture is mine. This SHOULD mean it's still under my creative commons since it existed before it was made into tags. If you don't do something about it, and because I'm not in any position to myself, I'm not going to flaming hate ragemail over it. I'm 23 and would like to think I've grown up.
Edit: And to the other guys above me, there was nothing leaked. I gave my model and textures out for free under a creative commons that requires source credit given if they are ever used. That should include being put through tool into tags. Edited by MosesofEgypt on Apr 6, 2013 at 11:03 AM

If you're referring to me then re-read what I typed. I'm not crying about tags at all. I'm happy people use my stuff I've given out for free. I just want credit given where it's due. Not for tags which I didn't make, for a model and texture that allowed them to make the tags.

People can and will use your stuff without giving credits. You are known on DA, what good could possibly come from having your name in the readme of a map for haloce? It didn't so don't worry. I know people will do that, I just want to nip anything in the bud that I see if possible because it isn't right. I haven't been on forums in literally years and the visits are far and few between. I usually am using my time for other, more productive things like making the things you see on my DA, studying for my upcoming ACT, and working. I'm just waiting for a final response from dennis to see what he has to say about what I said. He'll probably argue some crap about my magnum being a derivative work, but the texture was not derived from the original and is probably not even the same UVW so it is my own work.

You have made a fan made model and texture of a product of something that is part of the intellectual property of Microsoft as part of the Halo game. You cannot obtain a copyright for it to begin with so you cannot license it.

Now go back to the vehicle tag, go to functions, add C out, and set it's scale to C in. Now go down to unit and set C in to "driver seat powered" Go down to vehicle and set C in to "crouch". Now save everything and you have boost. Just trying to help. these will make the map sync correctly for all clients at every time. Tah duh.
