Some things just don't work...

The bloom mod is for the entire game. So yes it will work with your friend's map.

That's because it's enbseries. It looks good sometimes but just makes a lot of levels look loads worse.
On Skyrim, as the beta advances, the graphics are somehow getting worse and worse with enbseries. Boris just doesn't have a clue what he's doing. Somebody realised Boris is actually doing bloom incorrectly, applying blur filters to the entire screen rather than just bright spots. -.-

That depends on your configuration settings.

Hey guys, life has been busy :(

I'm so sorry that I haven't been able to finish what I think is like the last 15% of this project.

It's amazing that the community is being this patient and I want to get back on track and finish this. I have some free time coming up and I am going to really try to get this release for you guys.

Thanks again guys for the motivation :)

Also..... I haven't been around these forums and Halo:ce in a long time, anything cool come out lately.. new mods etc?

I'll try to communicate more with you guys.

Oh! and for everyone who has posted and friended me on youtube, thanks!

and as for cool mods, check out the cmt spv3 truth and reconciliation beta, and check out the haloce3live channel on youtube to check out some of the latest wip mods

It's great that this mod isn't dead.

Looking forward to a release.

Check out SPV3, which is really cool. Not sure whether your texmod will work with it though. Depends whether CMT's kept the same file names for textures or made new files entirely. :/

Because a fair number of people are either unable to use OS in the first place, or have computers that have difficulty using it. So... good mods that don't use OS are just as welcome as mods that do :P

Seriously, SorrySoldOut, you should ask to CMT if you can make their scenery textures! This is absolutely incredible, you revamped the old Halo CE graphics with just some better images... this shows that Halo CE has still a lot to show! And you have a great talent!

I sent him PM always still no replies from him.


He is active but something is not right he probably don't even care no more or probably he left halo for good. I don't know we have to be patient.

But he said... he was close to release the project! it was just delayed for a "few weeks". Why would he do 80% of it and then just quit? I call real life, but must have been something bad or idk.

Considering his last regular video update on texmod was 2 years ago, he probably abandoned the project.

He probably just moved on with his career and life and didn't bother sayin' nothin' to nobody.

I really don't understand the point of this thread the screens look great honestly but I don't understand what textmod does any different than what photoshop cs6 and os_guerilla can do?
does it modify a bunch of textures on the fly or something? I have not used it so I don't know.
but it looks to me like he just used halo anniversary textures and turned bloom on.?

I still don't understand how the edit's where made and the procedure he's using.
honestly I tried some CEA textures in CE one time and they looked about the same
also unclear as to if the pictures are from halo 1 pc or halo Ce? or console version of halo.
he sayd it would work with both map types but they are different.

He did not just make a bunch of amazing textures from scratch like that.
they had to come from somewhere.
he sayed he edited them but didn't specify where they came from or the edits he made
He is replacing the textures but did not mention where the ones he's using came from.
so what is he using as base? HD textures came from some where!

if Texmod is just a way of replacing textures then its no diff than Guerilla other than the fact that you can do full sets at once on the fly just like I was saying.

And to judge from this thread he is not an HEK user.
as far as I see it We could can do the same thing with
HaloMapTools3.0 and guerilla

He edited the textures from the stock textures in a similar process to how minecraft texture artist sometimes start off by enlarging the default textures an edit off of that.

Well, since it looks like it will take a miracle for SorrySoldOut to come back from the dead, finish, and release this project. Perhaps someone else on this forum could replicate the project or even improve on it? I would do it myself, but I don't have the time, skill, or system specs to do so.

Luckily he left a massive number of pics as reference. I have planned to replicate them, but I can't guarantee the same result: he did such an amazing job!
