I guess i'm stuck here waiting for
-An xbox360 emulator that doesn't give you 1FPS
-A PC port that might never happen
-My ps3 to turn in a xbox360(PS3 sucks, seriously)
-Someone to dumb a xbox360 elite downstairs

back to the tentacles, i don't see anyone making new animations for all weapons, ditch the idea, it may look nice, but isn't usefull. Except if anyone wants to make new anims for all the weapons.

Its useful. Flood have tentacles.

ooh, could someone make FP animations that use octopus-like tentacles instead of hands? :D That would be awesomesauce. I can imagine a tentacle wrapping around an AR clip and pulling it out, then slamming in a new one, pulling back the button-thing and re-wrapping itself around the front of the gun. :D
Too taxing on the tag system; Tool wouldn't compile, I guess... (With all the polys in the tentacles and all the bones and stuff, especially near the tentacle tips.)

We're doing it.... as soon as L28 responds to me, I'll ask him for an update.

I never specified it for weapons. This can be used for scenery, idle flood animations, other cool stuff.

Actually it would, but you'd have to make new models, new bone set, thus new animations wich is a hella lot work. I never said it was impossible, but it's alot of work, wich seems not worth it imo because we have alot of other stuff to focus on

talking about focus, i was supposed to make a trailer, but then the new map came out wich looked different, i had to delete the other stuff as most of the looked just not like it (my new textures mainly) i hope we can get a good map this week to make a trailer for, maybe make a to do list for the new release? so, i'm gonna finish this:
-Redo the flood carrier texture (it's too green, imo, you tell me if it's necessary)
-Finish the new flood elite textures
-Finish the flood elite armor model, if we can agree on what armor parts will be used and wich not
-hud? no i thought that was done, not sure though, the blur is as it is, the hud items i'm not sure about though.
-human flood form, could do a new texture, but how should i make it? more humanlike? cus the default texture looks gory enough

meh that's it for now, tell me if i forgot something, as i'm still working on other stuff too

Xbox 360 and Ps3 are pretty much the same thing: A plastic box that makes pretty things on your TV screen.

You know what makes the PS3 worth buying? only BECAUSE of the Blue-Ray, the only thing where MGS4 fits on, 50 GB, because they don't want to give you a bag of cd's for the 360 and have to make you switch dvd every 5 minutes =P

I just invented the Red-Ray disk, for PC, it fits... ANYTHING

I stole your work? lol, ehm, i phail at re-exporting the flood model, as there is Always something with my rigs, i've let halo3noob do some of my model rigs, but so he's full now =P
So, you could export me bipeds xD if you want that is
meh, i've no idea what the minimum work is from the moment of import of an existing model, and exporting again without editing anything, as no tutorial really covers 2009 wich doesn't support blitzkrieg, only bluestreaks scripts, that's my main problem.

E1: Also, i made some flood scenery, wich i don't want to spoil the suprise of untill i got it ingame =P
Scenery is a totally different thing, just add 1 marker or so and a frame box and i should be set right? I've dled some tuts but i've yet to read how to make custom scenery jms exportable, wich again, they use blitzkrieg for that i can't use >.> so any help for scenery in 2009 would be appreciated, as i've unwrapped it already but i still have to texture it

If I've read it correctly, it's 1 for bash open doors, and none for don't. How come those who expressed their dislike of my method never voted?

Make bash-doors, but maybe have some kind of animation so that they instead of just disappearing, they break or something.

Also, make them look bash-openable. If you just have normal doors, alot of people won't think of meleeing them.

They do. If you look on the ground, there's chunks of material coming from the door.

It seems a few people here think that the beta is gonna be open for download, ye, thats a no. People will be randomly chosen to beta test.

Ye, that trailer, I asked you to do that, how long ago? By the way, get on xfire, just played HaloWars and I have a few ideas for new flood units.

It does make sense, as the Forerunners would have made some sort of system to stop the doors from opening to Flood units in-case of Contamination.

I could have you melee the door, but it opens instantaneously. Or, I could have you stand in front of the door, and it'll bash itself down. Not really realistic, but it looks better. Or, I could have the doors just open peacefully. No loud banging noises.

Update:Got a Flood fog tag made, having problmes with the ai following you, they just dont want to follow.

There should be a tut i just had in my hands for following AI, since it's SP alot of syncing errors are solved, but meh, don't ask me more about it =P

So yea, I dib the carrier model, I'll work on that one! got some fun ideas about what I'm going to do with it *coughmolestratemoarcough*

Well, L28 is working on an Extras menu for us, link of what he's already done: http://www.xfire.com/video/82f79/

Were looking for some ideas of music, and stuff to put into the extras menu. So, ye you guys come up with some ideas.

Also, I'm assigning deadlines to everyone including myself.

Me: Deadline, end of this week. Thing needed done: c40 into beta form, and part of c20 done.
L28: In-game prgress of anims by end of this week
Gamma: More progress on c10, maybe 30% done? End of this week
Unholy: More work on the extras thing your working on, you know what itis lol. End of this week.
Mythril: The 2 extras vehicles your working on, end of this week. One in-game will suffice.
BP: H2 Human flood in-game, along with carrier model progress. End of the week.
Polamee: D20, 70% complete. End of the week.

I can't work over the week, except for Wednesday (Yes, I have a B in math. Rub it in). As soon as I can discover why I'm not spawning in my test map, I'll be able to test AI following. I'll respond by Friday to see if it works.

Dunno, if the CMT team leader with the delta UI says something is impressive about this UI when having such an UI, then i surely must have missed something in the vid about this UI lol

btw, i'm gonna reverse my work i think, the flood carrier grunt model is way ahead of the human flood form =P meh, it's gonna be ingame, thanks to mythril i solved this simple annoying error that prevented me to export a rigged model, hip hip hooray!
