Sorry, I missed something?

but if so, caboose got into animating too, so i'm not really worried about animations, i also got my old set of animations for the meanwhile wich are doing well too, NEW anims would just be extra, the REALLY needed tags are still not done

lol i honestly forgot about it, i'll send it to you this weekend, im glad it's friday.

so, the BSP is sorta, done in its current state? there were some open... spots i noticed... i would have to fill em up or so except if you got fitting BSP's that would attach to it, or is it an independant BSP?

Actually, most of us (at the very least, me) have been relaxing, and sipping pina coladas, while waiting for the tags to be done. But I expect that since school ended yesterday, we have to get back to work.

Actually since the HUD is in your head. And the head is tilted. So the HUD would be tilted with it. So your eyes still see the HUD the same.

also dont the infected flood use the infection form as the head? coz if you shoot them in the head on h1 they still run and stuff. and in halo3 (same thing happens) but if you shoot the infection form it dies straight away...

exacto, and im making it how it looks best, it's custom anyways.

lone warrior has seen a new effect i've created, and a few other updates aswell as a loose hud, and a few suprises im not gonna spoil here =3
watching my broadcasts is rewarding, as some have seen, though i rarely do that for the same reason =P

Gamma has it. I keep forgetting to ask him for it. Also, level population wont commence until the tagset has been finalized, mainly due to the fact we have to build each level for the tagset, so its not un-balanced. For example, some of the outdoor areas in c40 (StKft) are balanced so the player will have a hard time traversing on foot. Ofc, once we've enabled the player biped to use vehicles this adds a whole new perspective to the level.

Anyway, once the player biped can use vehicles he'll be able to use the ghost stationed outside the door to the outside bsp. This adds new balancing isses we must confront so the level wont be either too easy, or too hard. The level now with the addition of the ghosts is feared to be too easy, but we haven't ahd the time to play-test it yet, as recently I got a new computer that does not contain all my HEK information and tags. While this is a major down for the project itself, it allows me to revamp new areas the way I originally percieved, and to not have to deal with that pesky AI error I was originally having.

o jeez what im saying is that the eyes/ flood head is in the infection form. Not the actual head of the elite flood... Im just using the 2 game as examples that both back up mah statement.
Also will we need good gfx cards to play the campaign? for me i cant even see the colour changes in the bipeds. Like the blue minors and red major. (they both come up as the default white)
or wouldn't it matter if i have a bad one?

minors and majors shouldnt be white in the regular campaign.

well, most of my new effects are high def, i wouldn't recommend to play it with a geforce 7050 or lower, i have a comp with onboard GF 7050PV and it got 25 fps on it...

mainly because im using emulated volumetric lights all over the place, constant particle effects for athmospere, and a jizzload of other effects, plus firing the gun for some reason lowers the FPS by 2 when firing, but that's normal i think, however on stock maps it doesnt happen, incidental lagspike

anyways, im fine, i can run crysis at enthousiast settings =D

actually you're quite right. and you know why i say crysis? because most people here are too stupid anyways to understand what clock speeds would mean, and even if they did, they wouldn't know how to place it. crysis happens to be a big term in the benchmarking sector apart from 3dmark vantage the benchmarking program, so i suggest people stop acting newbish untill they actually know what they're saying. a geforce 4 mx wouldn't run crysis, and for most people that's enough information, especially when we're talking halo.

aaaanyways, back to stuff that matters

i happen to have finished FP legs for the Flood, i improved my own script for it, and because this is single player, it's perfect for this purpose, because only in multiplayer i had major problems.

secondly, i changed a few cinematic effects, i thawed in the bending view, sorta fish view but better, and used that as intro effects.

third, i placed volumetric light objects along all the walls, because it would explain the inner lighting and looks cool

fourth, i have finished the halo 2 elite flood model and it works, apart from it having problems with dying and gibbing, it's all in the collision file =/

fifth, i finished the melee weapon, you start off with nothing except your claws. idle animation is the left hand raised and attacking is swinging that claw

sixth, i reverted to the previous version of my hud and went another direction with it, so it's loose and it now glows like infection forms or carrier forms, you know, so the hud has a more organic feeling, can't be better now.

seventh, caboose will retexture the h1 wraith to fit the h2 wraith, and we'll be using the h2 wraith as it looks good, but modifie it to have the destroyed properties and model of the h1 wraith but retextured, this way we'll only keep the good things. so everything except the covenant turret is destroyable now.

hmm bungie's lucky number 7, i guess i should stop the updates to keep this symbolic moment =3

Yeah pretty much, once you lose your arms, the fp view screws up entirely, basically. The engine thinks your not carrying any weapons due to once the arms are destroyed the primary and secondary weapons are dropped, and leaving you with nothing to attack with.

Basically, we added shields and removed the limb loss on the arms to make it easier, as originally, you could essentially be killed by one grunt who blew off both of your arms. We've kept the head loss thing, as that doesn't effect anything really.

E1: Also, BP, be a bit more careful about what you say about the forum members, your point may be true, but it was stated in the wrong way.
