Johnson got away from the Flood in the books. There's also a graphic novel about it. Is he going to be in the campaign?

I know you said you would have hated for us to play as an infection form, why not have us start off as one and go into a vent or something into a room with a dead elite or something (maybe he fell) infect him then carry on. or why not have us as combat forms that can eject spores that can infect? I dunno it still sounds cool.

i'm up to every visual aspect needed, even a hud for a tiny infection form, wich is prolly only the when-i-pop meter

perhaps the intro level, but even then, it would be better off in a cutscene, like, infection form wanders, then he runs at an elite, camera shift behind a pillar, when he's past it the combat elite is there, whatever

I'm still working on the Weapon part, it's a pain in the ass since i have so little time with those exams :V



c what i did thar, i accidentally thought the ammo counter was next to the ammo meter, and that was stupid, since i lose alot of time with trying to do that, so now i have to shift it up again.

E1: Solved, pic updated, just have to move that line a pixel or two and I'm done, added in the second weapon fur teh lulz, just because so it's filled like halo 3, same goes for other elements, but whatever, it's almost done, i'm gonna finish the meter with some arrows and a timer, then it's o-k for now, then i'll work on the elite version again

i hate the fact you can't see live changes, but don't tell me what's wrong, i know, it's just that i'm at that point currently

i'm going to use avp dragon's weapon icons, his are twice the res mine are =/ but anyways, the whole hud is being worked on by me and caboose, so don't worry it'll be awesome.

and yes... the floody feeling will come there, be patient, i might post something cool later the day

E1: before people shout wtf does this have to do with the flood: i'm working on the tagset, that's why, and i'm not getting an updated script of the campaign BSP anyways *hint* DO WANT ASAP *hint*, so i just use my own maps for it

Fixed typos in bold. And as I said before, I own all of the books. I know the story. He was next to a crate of plasma grenades when it exploded. He spent several months in rehab, and the radiation screwed up his nervous system, which is how the Flood take control of a host.

And We're all still waiting on that update, Lone.

Ok I've decide just to check up on the first page again to catch myself up to speed again without going through 10 pages of flamming. I noticed that in the FAQ that it said you'll be playing as both a eilte and human flood combat form,

You play through the levels as different characters. You won't be playing as the same one throughout the entire game. In fact, the takeover of the Truth and Reconciliation and the Pillar of Autumn go on at the same time. It's not like your character will survive the entire game (hint hint)

Looks awesome, but something is telling me to make the bullets on the mater a bit taller/higher. I can't find a reference pic though.

Pardon my ignorance, but why are you showing the regular human/eilte HUDs if your going to play as a flood,wouldn't you use floodish huma/eilte HUDs?

I must say, that biped looks very cool, so going through youtube (ah yes the world of videos by anyone who owns a camera) and i came across a gmod zombie survival mod (being as I like zombies, and survival situations that involve such) I thought to myself "Is it possible to incorporate a jury-rigged version of this" I know there have been some people saying that they want to make mods where 1 team is elites, and the other team is marines. Well with my somewhat limited understanding of the script world, i know that isn't possible. but i know reskinning one team is, so would it also be possible to limit one teams ability to pick up weapons but at the same time increasing things like speed, jump, and melee? Then the other only basic thing needed would be team ratios. Humans have majority, zombies have 2 or 3; when the zombies kill a human or the human dies, he be forced to the zombie team. Just wondering if it was a possibility because it would seem to go good with being released with this campaign. keep up the work man.

Possible. You just need a biped with a marine permutation and an elite permutation. Then I can write the script for that.

Possible. You just need a biped with a marine permutation and an elite permutation. Then I can write the script for that.


Problem is they would have to use the same bone set, and since elites have different bones, it wouldn't look right.

That should be much easier. But I highly doubt that's going to go into the Flood Campaign. It's a Campaign, which means it's Single Player only.
