So they can shoot at the player lol. We should also make them have AA fuel rod guns, or something. Since your going to be in a hornet, or some other flying vehicle.

Maybe a scarab thats the BSP, but a scenery around it animated to look like its moving. And the legs could be devices animated to move in place.

Anyways, I like to attack a scarab from the ground up, and not from the air.

I think that we could just make it animated scenery, and after you shoot the legs enough times, it will go down on the ground and then you can spawn AI on it then have the player go on the scarab and kill all of the AI, when the player is done with that, then the player will have to shoot something on the scarab and a cutscene starts.

yeah, this is what I've been saying.

Also, like I said, if you want AI shooting down on you, just attach them to the scarab. It's not like they need to be walking around...

Why all the commotion? I thought the scarab issue was already solved. Basically, if you can't seem to understand what I'm saying, read the above post.

Obviously. Something like this:

1) BSP design and modeling
2) Texturing
3) Exporting and running lightmaps and stuff. Debugging BSP errors.
4) Populating
5) Level flow and layout
6) Scripting and stuff.


The BSP looks great Mythril. Can't wait to see it ingame.

nice, man. Just nice. However I just had an idea: You could have a side objective where you go into certain buildings and rescue human survivors, and a pelican comes and picks 'em up, like crewman in the level "halo" but you know with different clothing so they look like civilians. This also would make the scenery, like the buildings, seem more important, instead of just in the way.

hmm if your gonna make something in this kind of a range( box type style) then I would sudgest something like sketchup for its fast modeling, although it might not fit your needs in some aspects it is still very fast

Sketchup is a horrible modeling program and only people who are to lazy to learn max or gmax (essentially the same thing) use. It gives you a horrible amount of errors and overall cant be used for what its intended for.

Oh and BTW for the weapon set for the first and third mission, don't use SMG AND AR; Use AR or BR for the first one (the marine should be a regular marine, along with the one in the second mission). The second one, you should use a silenced SMG and a silenced Pistol. Make the enemies on this part less aware that you are there, and give these Marines the element of surprise.
Several more things. When doing the part where you have to jump on the Scarab, have the vehicle be a sparrowhawk/hawk. Actually, have it be TWO sparrowhawks/hawks, but one is wreckage and one had time to land before the pilot got out. Also, have the pilot join your squad with an unsilenced SMG and/or an unsilenced pistol (Oh and he will be on the ground in a CoD last stand type pose, shooting at the enemy.) After a minute, the medic will run over to him and a cutscene will ensue.

Sargent: Well?

Medic: Legs ain't broken. Can you walk?

Pilot: Sure, but I can't fly-

Player: I will.

Sargent: Marine, you just volunteered to fly this piece of $#*% to #@&! and back. You sure about this?

Player: #@&! yeah.

Pilot: I need to fix the old bird; she took some damage going down.

Random Marine: $#*%! IT'S COMING

Scarab is seen moving towards group

Sargent: Well, son? HURRY THE #@&! UP, MAGOT!

End cutscene
Then you would have to protect the pilot while he fixes the Hawk. Once he's done, a short cutscene:

Pilot: Done! What the- Oof!

(Pilot gets hit by a plasma bolt in stomach)

Sargent: GET IN MARINE! GOGOGOGO!

After the player gets in, the cutscene ends. Then you have to blow up the legs as well as some mounted turrets. once all of the objectives are completed, ANOTHER short cutscene:

The Scarabs leg explodes with pretty blue and purple plasma-y colors. then the scarab moves to the side, knocking over a pretty large tree. A covenant platoon is stationed on the scarab. A fuel rod knocks out an engine, crashing the hawk into a tree just after the player ejects. The explosion kills the Sarge making you the commanding officer. End Cutscene.

Now you just have to kill the Covenant troops and plant the charges with your brothers. As you are running out, your brother (I don't care which one) gets hit with a plasma bolt in the back. He stumbles and falls over. A camo elite pops out with an energy sword and gets ready to strike him, but as he pulls back his arm, you shoot it with a pistol. The energy sword falls out of his hand, and in one slick move, you slice the elites head off. Then, you pick up your brother in the same way that sniper dude in CoD4 picked up the other one and ran him through the map to the extraction zone. The cutscene ends.

Now you have to run to an extraction zone, stopping to put down your brother, shoot some enemies, and pick him back up. Once you get there a cutscene:

Brother 3 runs onto the pelican with Brother 1/2 just as the hatch is closing. Two elite majors with energy sword/plasma rifle dual wields run up to the hatch, but a random marine with a Splazer shoops da whoop and blows them to hell. The hatch closes and the pelican flies off into the sunset. Playing on legendary will get you a special ending cutscene:

Pelican flies off into space and lands on the PoA. Master cheif is just getting off his pelican when he sees the marines pelican landing. The brothers walk out and go up to the cheif. The hurt brother is being carried between the other two.

Master Cheif: Who's the commanding officer on board?

Brother 3: I am, sir!

Master Cheif: Great. Good to have you on board.

Non hurt brother: Likewise, Cheif.

PoA seen jumping.

Screen goes black.

Credits roll

After credits:

(Jenkins-esque helmet cam looking sideways) An elite Fleetmaster is seen walking with a prophet. They are saying wort wort wort wort wort. A message appears on scren "Translating Wortish-English"

Fleetmaster: I'm telling you, sir, I have seen a ring shaped relic of massive proportions!

Prophet: Nonsense! This is blasphemy, and I will have none of it!

Fleetmaster: But-

Prophet: Silence! Now, prepare the fleet. We will follow the demons.

This is only a suggestion.

2) I believe this campaign takes place after Halo 1, if I'm not mistaken.

Well I'm not sure but I'm sure they are keeping this trio:

Why are we using the MA5C if its before Halo 2 and Halo 3? Im thinking just a better looking Halo 1 Assault Rifle, with a new model and texture. But keeping the 60 ammo limit. But just a little more accurate.
