It's fine, I see your point. I was annoyed at Sargeant 1337, not you.

You spelled Sergeant wrong.

I wasn't being negative though, I was just saying that custom longsword isn't a good substitute for the Sabre. People will flame you if you use that thing. Either one of your modelers make a Sabre, or you get one from Amazingcuziam. That's not being negative.

It actually would be "Or you get it from Amazingcuziam", but whatever. Also, you don't need to "get" it from me, because i'm cool and released it (along with other stuff) over HEEER >>>> http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=34756
Or, if you prefer a direct download link, http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZBDYVRZI
Its mixed in there, with some of my other models, i think...

Not all the same, but I get your point. There is also a sniper mission at night in both games, a mission inside a covenant ship in both games, a mission to protect a forerunner relic in both games, cryobay in both games, Keyes in both games, the Pillar of Autumn in both games...

You get the idea

yes, and in the end of reach the Pillar of Autumn leaves reach, and in the beginning of halo 1 cortana says "as for tracking us all the way from reach, at light speed my maneuvering options were limited", reach is a prequel to 1, but you knew that already

I wish they'd put the other SPARTAN John - 117 carried to the Autumn in. She was dead, but he still put her in cryobay rofl.

I think it was either Linda or Kelly?

I really need to read those books again...

@Alberto Nice to see somebody else read the books. I guess you're right. It's been a while since I read the books. Did you read Ghosts of Onyx? I plan to do something on that.

As soon as we've finished working on the boneyard file and it's in .scenario format, we'll start on the Invasion gametype, and I might decide to actually do something like get my custom concepts in-game in a simple MP map for CE3 (it has to be original, and not much we're doing is. I would suggest Hiralis' map, but I believe it is indoors.

Okay, I've had a revelation. We should continue working on Reach tags, as they could be useful not only for us, but the entire community. If it weren't for my lack of skill, we could get all our current bsps in-game in about 10 minutes, so anybody willing to do that, please step forward. It'll make things easier. We can still go through with the basic, short campaign idea, but it shouldn't take long.

What say you about this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdkVoySo7f4

We could create our own Halo 4.

1st level is Kelly, Fred, Linda and Dr Halsey being awoken from a Forerunner cryostatis shortly after the Ark's destruction. Playing as Fred, make your way through a ginormous portal leading to a Forerunner 'city', basically just a mish-mash of the available appropriate Forerunner structures. At the centre of the city is a Forerunner Dreadnought, and a control panel to activate a portal to escape the shield world. You discover remnants of flood OR Forerunners which disbanded and took shelter, despite the flod knowing shield world locations. Either the flood attack you as they always do, with an epic little cutscene for discovery, or there's a nice little cutscene where a forerunner appears. The Forerunners see you as a threat to their soon-to be new empire. Battle commences. You fight your way to the dreadnought, reach the bridge then take off. Level ends.

2nd level is UNSC forces recieving John-117's distress call. In a nice little cutscene, he is rescued and nursed back to health, then sent to investiate another beacon coming from the Forerunner dreadnought, along with a small squad of marines/ODSTs. They all join the fight.

3rd level is the dreadnought being taken over by the Forerunners/flood. There can be a nice Star Wars: Battlefront II - style space battle, complete with being able to drive motherships and control turret, or being a man and joining a dogfight. At the end, the SPARTANs escape the dreadnought in Forerunner lifepods, the dreadnought is destroyed and everyone lives happily every after.

4th level is the UNSC finally using forerunner knowledge from Cortana (she has everything from the forerunner relic on Reach, Installation 04, possibly Installation 05 and The Ark, as well as what the Covenant collected at High Charity). My brilliant beam-hog concept is produced, which is lucky because there is a small insurgence OR remaining flood spores from High Charity. Yet another big fight, there's an epic speech and the Arbiter joins in with his men. UNSC win, as always, and everyone lives happily ever after. After this, Forerunner knowledge is used to rebuild Reach.

What do you think? A load of drawling rubbish? Better than Lumoria? Should we stick to Reach: CE?

I mean, come on. We could even use the custom control room from Halo - verse mapping team!

I have tons more ideas if you're interested. Or maybe I'm just thought of as a total nerd, yet somehow idiotic.

We coud even use Reach weapons, SPI armour and CMT spv2 bipeds seeing as they're stuck with outdated tech. I'm not sure what to do with the surviving SPARTAN -IIIs (I didn't include them). Oh well. This storyline is true to Halo canon and does get Dr Halsey back. I still think a simple reskin of H2 cortana wouldn't take too long to look like the 'Legends Halsey.

To learn about the Dyson Sphere theory behind the shield world, read up on Freeman Dyson's theories. He's a real person!!!!

Meet Mr. Forerunner Paladin.

Please note any surviving Forerunners are most likely rogues, so may not have clearance or knowledge to control sentinels or monitors. This means there could be robots wreaking havoc too.

Ooh, P.P.S, I have an awesome idea for a hand-to hand combat animation - a roundhouse kick to the legs so the opponent falls down, followed by an elbow to the stomach, followed by a knife in the face. :-D

PLEEEEASE REPLY.

Thanks.

RE 2.: Fan-art. The following is official concept art of a Forerunner Combat Skin (i.e. Forerunner armour)

I once had an idea for Halo 4 that I considered making about 3 weeks ago. But then realized that due to my lack of skill, it wouldn't work out.

After the Prophet of Truth is killed by the Arbriter and the Covenant and Flood are destroyed in Halo3:

30 years later the humans have once again overpopulated Earth and seek a new colony like Reach. They find it on... a Halo ring that they found in a new galaxy. They decide to settle it and of course agree not to fire it, they all remember the great war with the Covenant. The Spartan program has restarted to ensure safety and order in the colony. Of course some knuckle heads started getting curious about the Halo. They were too young to remember the Covenant War. They end up starting a cult similar to The Great Journey Luckily spartans were there to prevent them from uprising or doing anything bad. Things start to heat up, the Forerunner areas such as the control room, index room, etc. are guarded by UNSC forces. But a new Covenant armada shows up. A huge one, like in Reach. The rebels ask to join the Covenant. The new prophets agree. Now the Covenant have back door data, and can have spies!!! These dudes of course know the terrain and secret caves all that stuff. Uh oh. Yeah, I read on the Halo Wiki:

The Spartan programs: were humanity's various attempts to create the perfect soldiers, in order to patrol the colonies, protect civilian and government populations, crush uprisings in their infancy and ensure others don't rise up as a result.

and

The elites:
They seem to believe that Humans, although physically weak, at least compared to themselves, are brave and even honorable. Certainly, most Sangheili believe that Humans should be offered admittance to the Covenant. (HUH!!!:D) Some even believe that the Humans are equal to them - a considerable step for a Sangheili, or any member of the Covenant to make. The Sangheili admired how willing and brave the Humans were when fighting to survive against outright extinction, they even respected to a certain degree those few soldiers who were willing to stay behind and cover their comrades from a Covenant attack. This would be interesting because the Covenant would be super PISSED at the Humans for having trodded with their "filthy footsteps on the sacred Halo for so long." Probably considering the size of the Covenant fleet it would end in disaster. Although perhaps we could pull in the Arbriter and his elites too. But that might make it a little bit cheesy.

P.S.
I just made up part of that story line after reading some of this stuff. lol :P (specifically the part about the rebels).
