Just did legendary, and yeah, the AR really need to deal more damage per bullet. Now, it's even useless against packs of grunts.

There's been a lot of complaints about the saving issue that I want to address. The reason why this map has unsafe saves is because there is something in the map that is always making it unsafe to save in the stock bsps, so I had to use the script command to save unconditionally in those areas. We also had another similar save bug in the custom bsps, which made me have to do a similar thing. I'll work on reducing the amount of unsafe saves, but it will always be a possibility on this map, and this map alone. I never had anything with unsafe saves like you guys expierenced but you take 100 people with 100 different play styles and things happen, which is why it's good we did this public beta.

You can already turn it off in the options menu.


no, for me, it is automatically off in setup. blanked out.

i played it again, it was fun. to bad i cant see what master chief looks like, considering i get all this tearing when the camera shows him coming out of the cryotube. By the way, good job on the assault rifle. i really like how on the it where it shows the ammo , see a cool reflection, good job!

Halo usually blanks out those stuff because either your graphics card doesn't support it, or its too damn weak ^^

GAH... I was messing around with the spiker, a round ricoched off a wall infront of me and killed me at a checkpoint. so now I can't spawn....

My first time playing a CMT Campaign

- Pistol aim seemed a bit off ( might be widescreen)
- Hunters move WAAAYYY too fast
- flashlight often only lit the back of my gun?
- NEEDS NAV POINTS!!! I wont be playing the final if SOME kind of navigation is not added.

The only reason I used OS, was to up the graphics, a little more, and I didn't have any lag btw. If I were you, and you don't use xfire, or do, and don't have it on, go grab the Post processing OS, and try it out.

I've been using the plasma rifles, and I've noticed little to no difference in the rate of fire between the two.

Hmm.. your right. I just noticed that. I went back and checked on what you said veex, and there is little to no difference in the ROF between the two.

Big problem, I don't know whats wrong with my SPV2... I started to play it again ,and after the last time I recorded a video, and uploaded it, I quit.. I then started a new game on a10, and now every AI, is in like slow-mo, and no I don't have the doublespeed on,or the slow mo extra..my guy moves fine, it's just ai and everything, and when I walk up to a door, it won't open!! It is also green. What is wrong with it? Please help.

EDIT: I just tried a map on spv1, and the AI are still slow-mo, and my game_speed is set at 1

I don't know what I did wrong?!


EDIT 2: WTH? I just restarted my computer, and now it's fine.. well I have a suggestion, don't use game_speed in the a10 public beta.. I think it might have something to affect with the slow-mo...then it like saves it that way, until you restart your computer..

Try reinstalling Halo CE. That fixes almost everything.

Weapons:
-Pistol is awesome, though it needs a tiny bit more range, imo.
-SMG is perfect, I thought I was the only one who knew about the unfolding stock! :D
-Everything else is pretty well done.

The new areas are REALLY confusing. The flashlight seems to only light up your gun, so it was incredibly hard for me to get through the service corridors as they were all pitch black. It was even worse fighting in there. :(

I kinda wanted to drive those hogs.. :D

Marines seemed to just stand around, I only interacted with them when I killed them for ammo.

That's all I can think of for now.

EDIT: Oh and sometimes, I don't know if it's just my computer.. but things seemed to go in slo-mo sometimes... And I didn't have slo-mo on.

Well ever since the time when it was uploaded I played it over about 4 or 5 times and I have to say it was very good, as a teaser it is about as splended as it gets.

Through out playing the only bug I encountered or noticed was the grunts stacking upon each other (hmm... 3 some anyone?(lol)).

Aside from that I had no discasualties.

About the people complaining how you get easily lost, I actualy zoomed right past the level in under I would guess 40 minutes without getting lost the first time I played.

Another thing I realy liked was how the team decided to put few types of weapons and enemies so that you can be even more exilerated when you play with the final.

In all the PB is very succesfull at teasing the players and getting them in the feel for the real thing, the final version of coarse.

I would give this mod a 9.75 out of 10.

hey why not replace the music with the halo 3 versions of that music(if there is a h3 version) or if the older one sounds bettr then keep it there.

The brute pr does more damage and overheats faster, there's no plan to change it. Also the slow mo bug is new to me, but i cant figure anything else out without more details.

hmm I thought it was part of the feature of the powerup? or is it not... it felt faster than the slow mo in the cmt extras to me though, so I guess maybe it was a feature?
