Ok i downloaded the map yesterday and went through it. First of all i want to thank CMT for releasing the public beta of their A10 map. It was great, it was a lot more fun compared to the original POA level.
However, i just want to state some issues that i have encountered while playing..... 1. The brutes' shielding looks a little crappy when shot at (like someone took cling wrap and wrapped them in....). 2. The Spiker became my so-called AR as it was a lot more powerful compared to the AR in the map. Seriously, the damage per round for the AR is ridiculously low. I need like 2 clips just to take down their shielding, and another half a clip to end them. 3. Why aren't there plasma grenades in the map? They can be quite useful in some situations....(correct me if i am wrong about this) 4. Some of the AI encounters made my framerate drop very low (eg. 10 fps). I think this has to do with CMT using better graphics for the bipeds, but still........ 5. Interestingly, the Elites have polygons of blood(rather than blood splatters coming out of them)when shot at. 6. I hope some Brutes can be equipped with the Brute Shot rather than just the Spiker or Brute PR. Adds variety to weapons that are available. 7. Adding the Covenant Carbine would be great, and do fix the BR grenade pickup errors that were stated in the previous posts by the other members. 8. Fix the string errors please, like because some of the weapons have the "Picked up an assault rifle" thing when picked up. I think most here know which weapons these are..

I forgot about that...(thanks jackrabbit) 1- the pistol was a very nice addition to the map, it was powerful and gave the whole resident evil feel to gameplay. The problems i found with it were mainly how the reticle and the laser sight interacted. Please pick one or the other for the final. Also i found that when i encountered multiple enmies (ie- edited encounters with extra enemies) the pistol took forever to squeeze off a round and reload; but when i tested other weapons in its place, they were uneffected... please check it out(first encounter issues were in the mess hall)
2- In several sections of the ship after you completely devestate the enemy in front of you, only to find a dead end behind them, a blast door opens behind or beside you... I liked this idea in that you couldnt predict exactly where the next enemy would spawn from, or the next hallway would start. Could other areas on the ship be set up in this mannor?
3- I know the damaged warthogs were only supposed to be scenery with a damage effect attatched to them but why in the world were they so fuggly? (They reminded me of the damaged warthog in the beginning of Haloid.)

Just finished the first level and here are my thoughts.
1.The pistol/magnum was kinda....horible. 2.The BR didnt feel kinda right.It felt like it was more of close quarters weapon and i only remembered by the end of the level that it had a scope. 3.The weapon i loved the most was the AR, it was perfect...Except it looked way much smaller in First person then in third person. 4.I got lost so easely in the new BSPs and there were some ladders i couldnt get on at all... 5.The new MCs armor looks awesome, reminds me of Halo Wars. 6.The overall level was fantastic and i cant wait for the whole thing to come out. Oh and yeah i forgot, somehow near the end i felt like there werre to many grunts.
Great job guys.

Theirs supposed to be alot of grunts, if you read the book then you'd know how the UNSC soldiers would get rushed by hundreds of them. Compared to the battles most spartans and marines fought, right now the chief has it easy.

ZOMG i found a discovery lol (witch is 100% old) At the last cutscene when MC is getting into the drop pod, after he grabs that marine and pushes him inside....Press ESC...XD The whole scene after MC pushes Marine inside will repeat...and if you press ESC again then the scene will repeat again...and again...and again...lol. I like it the new SP lvl; fantastic job CMT! but i do have some issues with it.
1.) The SMG. I fired 4 rounds to kill a Grunt and i reloaded, that 4 round reload took away a full clip (60 rounds). Everytime i reloaded it took away 60 from my ammo. Fix?
2.) The Brutes. Their shielding is a little too powerful in my opinion, maybe lower it some? And their blood looks a lot like the Humans and it goes freakin' everywhere. Where do they get all of it from?
3.) The New Pistol. I dont like it at all. I, sort of, like the silencer, but was the laser really necessary? Couldnt you of just used the reticle or whatever and/or just used the laser? And the 8 rounds in it doesnt really cut it for CQB fighting. Id like if it went back up to its 12 rounds magazine.
4.) The Battle Rifle. Pure dissapointment. Those 3 rounds dont do sh*t againest the Brutes or Elites. It works good for the Grunts but thats about it. And that Grenade Launcher (>_>) it takes a couple of seconds for the MC to reload and u cant defend yourself cause it wont fire when the GL is reloading.
5.) The Assault Rifle. Absolutly Perfect. I really enjoy using the AR this time, but its very weak againest the Brutes. It takes me a few clips to just knock out their shields, then it takes a couple more to actually kill the damn thing. Above all, i dont see any problems with the AR except the power.
6.) The Master Chief, himself. Wow. Whoever created that skin should be congratulated. It looks marvelous! Very nice this time. I absolutly hated the SPv1 Master Chief; he had no wrists basicly. You need to keep this MC Model.
7.) PoA Crew. Why are they all Marines? I mean sure theyre awesome, and theyre part of the Navy but they dont actually fly the ships and stuff. Please, Please, PLEASE put the original Naval Flight Crew in there.
8.) The Level itself. At first it was easy; no problems. Then i got, i think, toward the second maintenance tunnel after you pass the cryo-chamber and the Elite/Brute explodes, that i got totally lost. Maybe Put in those directional arrows or something to help out with?
9.) The Covie Weapons. Not much varity; just the Plasma Rifle, Brute PR, and the Spiker. The spiker's the most powerful out of them three. Oh and i like how you can get the Hunter's Fuel Rod Cannon ( and yes, i know you could of done it in SPv1.) And it shows its arm. But make it a little more powerful too? I fired at a Hunter with that thing and it didnt even flinch.
10.) The Gameplay. Sometimes it would play fine then some parts it would get kinda slow. I dont know if its my computer doing it or if its the levels, but i figured it was important.

The SMG is intended to do that, which for some reason sucks. 2. Melee. My suggestion: don't use the AR. 4. Ever heard of headshots? 5. What? The AR doesn't do anything against Elites or Brutes, you have the BR and AR mixed up. The BR is just like the ordinary H1 pistol with a 40 mike-mike, while the AR just pokes them. 6. Now I know what's wrong with it. The texture is too green. Is it me or is CMT only taking suggestions which 90% of the community give? Either they're too busy or too careless. There's a fine line between not listening and not caring. The total ammo cap should be divisible by clip size. The BR's max ammo cap should be around 100. The AR has 352 max ammo since it can't do headshots.

I do too, even with the low damage, since it's pretty much like a modern-day rifle, and more... how do I say this, "comfortable" to use since it has an ammo counter and has a different reticule unlike Counter-Strike and Medal of Honor: AA/Breakthrough, which have but 4 lines as a reticule. It's just that the MA5C wouldn't kill an Elite while an SMG would have done the job half the time. But still, from what I saw, you can kill another player with a single clip from the MA5C in H3.

what's with the marines?they keep shooting each other,and me.I thought they were improved,not made into a suicide pack.I mean,the surpressive fire they give is blocked by other marines getting in the way to lay down more fire.and why did you drop everything that was done in spv1,captain keyes looked awesome with the bloodshot green eyes,you could see the total stress in his face.and why don't you replace the leathernecks with the h1 crewman like they were originally (unless they are being pimped out too like the other guys).here's my idea,put the h1 crewman in,but add those funky h2 like crewman with the white suits.the crewman can wield pistols,and the h2 guys can wield smgs.
btw that wasn't the new grunt skin right?I thought the new ones had red eyes...
