Oh, something else I forgot to mention... Cortana's dialogue seems to be a bit out of time... but the second time I played through I got her "The damage to the superstructure is intense, I don't know how much more abuse the autumn can take" line just as I was walking through first twisted passageway. It hasn't happened since, but if that's what's intended I really like it!

There shouldn't be any more objectives to be honest. The whole objective of the level is to abandon ship and make sure the Covenant don't get their hands on the ship's AI.
I don't think Chief would bother with any secondary objectives like that, he has his orders.

1- as far as the ai issues go; you can end up with all of the marine ai doing that(i did but it was caused by a grunt running from mein circles when i was chasing it with a spiker)
2- more objectives... well if destroying boarding crafts would be considered a new objective i could see it working out well.(maybe destroy them with a rocket or two?)

While making CMT Extras, I realized I had a problem.
I had intended on implementing a back button.
However, when you select one of the features (e.g., freeze time, slow motion), in actuality it is not just opening that feature. It is also reopening the extras menu itself.

So, say I were to add a back button.
If someone was to click a feature, then click back, they would not go back to the main pause menu. They would go back to the CMT Extras. Now that would be fine, if I chose to have the back button in the second dialog box, however, I find that highly unnecessary since you can still select from the list in the main dialog box.

I could add a back button.
But the user would have to push back twice to get out of the menu.

Anyways, just press Esc to exit out of the menu.


I dont see a problem with pressing escape.

Lol 1 thing I think wasn't so good was how on heroic and legendary the brutes were total nade spamers. Seriously at this one corner there were 3 brutes and the first one imediatly throwed a nade at me when it saw me and in the whole battle it shot maybe 10 rounds at most. I think through out the whole thing I died 8 times and about 7 of those times were from nade spams by brutes -_-

i loved the cmt extra menu. i just loved the way you could time freeze and fly cam. i got some awsome photos with it. Nice work!

Playing through on Normal for my first time was very enjoyable. I thought I was ready for Legendary but, I couldn't get past the cafeteria ffs. So I went down to Heroic, got through easier only to have to restart 4 times due to checkpoints being made as a bullet was entering my brain or I was already dead on the ground. I also found Elites to be ludicrously overpowered and annoying to kill as opposed to Brutes who are an actual challenge but have a higher chance of dying first encounter with them.

I got a checkpoint a little too late when entering a room full of enemies. I don't remember what room it was, nor could I have described it anyways, but the trigger volume needs to be about 6-10 meters further away from the encounter than it is in the beta. The room was at the end of a hallway, got the checkpoint right as I was shot after making a right turn.

Hi all, love the beta. All the errors i've seen have already been posted so I shouldnt need to post any of those.

But Im getting an error when I try to play it again, that it puts me at the final cutscene. I have deleted the .sav files but no luck, I restart and it puts at the final cutscene again and recreates the .sav files. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

And great job CMT, love everything you've done so far.

When writing this I am fully aware that Im not the first to do so.

So I finally beat the public beta on legendary (without cheats), and I'll be the first to say that it was much more satisfying than playing it on normal. The enemies were way hard and it was very challenging. Below are the things I thought were good and bad about the beta.

The good:

New weapons
Newly skinned weapon
New enemies
New MC model (althogh Im not a big fan of the model in the beta)
New Elite model
New challenges
New BSPs
Loved the new CMT extras menu
Loved the flycam feature ecspecially

The bad:

Enemies throw grenades frequently
Enemies throw plasma grenades like their in MLG
Waaaaaay to hard at some parts
Brutes just seemed like wannabe elites
New BSPs got tedious after a while and it almost made it seem like I was just going through the motions.
Too many inviselites in that one hallway where the blast doors close behind you

The ugly:

When you shot brutes they were like blood baloons.
Too many enemies
Too many enemies throwing grenades
Some CMT extras did not work
Marines were EXTREMELY useless


OverallI enjoyed the beta, and it left me wanting more. Alot more. I want to thank CMT for all their hardwork and Halomaps and Modacity for hosting. Also I posted a new video on youtube of the broadcasts from June if anybody still wants to see them.

I am aware that it "appears" that nothing has happened after using certain features.
I'm fairly certain that Masterz is aware of this too.
However, these are Bungie's developer commands.
We cannot magically make them work.

I did not write the list for CMT Extras.
All I did was rewrite the scripts, and remade CMT Extras.

Now, I have seen a few complaints about some of the features not working.
It's not my place to say that I'm going to do anything about it.
It is up to Masterz.
Whether he wants to keep the same features, or replace the ones that don't work is up to him.


1- Bungie scripts are fun when they are working but have bugs of their own and some were never fixed upon release of the games. CMT was nice enough to tweak some of them(for instance the slow motion feature) for gameplay but CMT isnt perfect and these scripts only work under certain cercumstances.

On this subject the slowmotion feature made it seem like i was playing Max Payne with a sniper rifle due to all the headshots i was getting on grunts.

2- Any chance that a Funky Gravity script could be added to the extras list?(by Funky Gravity i mean when its activated, bodies and weapons fly in random directions and pinball off of things or random ai are walking on walls and cielings. It would give the effect of the Autumns gravity systems being damaged; plus its a comedy feature like grunt birthday party)

3- please fix the pistol... the time it takes between shots is two long to make this weapon very useful against multiple enemies. Also... why is it that the pistol still isnt deadly accurate even with the laser sight and reticle?

The pistol isn't beautiful in all black

At the end of my cutscene with keys he was standing on top of me

The battle rifle isn't "pretty"

At one point I was damaged, didn't see anything damaging me, went back to investigate and was damaged again, apparently there was fire there

Oh again with the pistol, if you reduce the clip and fire rate and take down the scope, atleast increase damage a little, it felt equal to the battle rifle

I take it you know no grunts or covenant dropped Plasma grenades

I actually played on normal, it was the first time I did so on my halo CE game, I just wangted o see all the level as quickly as possible.

Even using no strategy than aiming I only died twice, I'll try it on heroic right away

I never knew enemies didn't use grenades on the lower levels, you learn new things when you play on a lower difficulty

Only if Open Sauce is used, and I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen.
