How is she when she doesn't surf?

SpecOps hunters?!?

also, how do you change the difficulty? i put in game_difficulty_set hard, but nothing happened. it still said normal when i typed game_difficulty_get.

Just get a ui.map that has campaign enabled.

Well, they were black, so I'm assuming that's what they were.

But maybe that's my graphics.

Still, normal hunters are blue with my graphics, so maybe they really were black. I don't know.

Also, I took those videos.

Actually the game_difficulty_get is bugged, but it's still on Heroic, as you can see with some differences(they drop plasma gerdanes for example)

I loved the spiker, but the reload completely obstructed the entire screen. That should be changed. -Aren't you supposed to take cover when you reload?

I agree with everyone who said the Assault Rifle was underpowered. 2 clips to take out an Elite's shields? Needs more damage. -At least the melee is powerful. SMG takes 3 rounds to kill a grunt on normal, but the AR takes... 4-5?

I loved the smg too, but there wasn't enough ammo for it, and I didn't like how it wasted the entire clip when I reloaded. Also, its melee is like rapid-fire. -The SMG is like the MA5B with ammo being trashed. There were, periodically, M7s throughout the level. If you don't have an AR, though, it'd be useful for melee.

I didn't like how I had to swap battle rifles to get more grenades for it. I'm not a fan of the battle rifle, but its grenades were useful so for parts of the level I kept one with me. I had to keep switching it for another one with more grenades though, and that was annoying.

I felt like I was constantly running out of ammo. Thee only weapon that was never on short supply was the plasma pistol. -It never runs out of ammo. In all Halo games.

The Brute and Elite plasma rifles didn't seem that different to me, except for the colors. The Brute plasma rifle is supposed to do more damage, but overheat rapidly. But it felt the same as the Elite variant. -The Brute PR was supposed to fire and overheat faster, but I don't think do more damage. That's what I recall from H2, though. But basically it just had textures and projectile bitmaps(or models?) changed.

I was very impressed by the fact that there was very little lag, even on my crappy computer. The only lag I got was from the Hunter beams (TOO MANY PARTICLES) and the warthogs that were on fire. -Yeah, lol. If you're using an unsupported video card, and everyone has white armor, you're in for much less lag. I have the same with my old Pentium 4. Unsupported video cards always have a letter missing from lag.

The new areas were nice, but they made the level seem a bit too long. The original purpose of the mission was to escape the ship with Cortana as fast as possible, but I felt like I was just running through the ship killing everything I found. There didn't seem to be much of a point to it, except for making the level longer. -Well, at least it keeps us more entertained. It's like how you fit 3km into a 1.17km ship. Yeah, I'd say the same.

Some of the new areas were a little confusing, and I had to run around quite a lot to find where I was supposed to go. I never actually got lost, but it seemed like there was just too much. -If there's someone willing to stick a spike in your head, you know you're going where you need to.

Some of the new areas were lacking music as well.

Later on in the new areas closer to the end of the level there were very few marines, alive or dead. And I was constantly using Covenant weapons because there were very few human ones to be found. It's was supposed to be a human ship, so I really think there should be more humans and human weapons. -CMT needs to buy more weapon racks. No, ammo. Or better yet weapons. Or weapons and ammo. What use is a rack if you don't have something to rack up in it?

And I really don't get the sleeping Grunts. Why would they be sleeping if they were invading the ship? -I think it's like in Halo Wars when you assault the enemy base and different groups take different paths, while some are just outside the enemy base, waiting.

I really did like how some of the encounters in the original BSP were changed. I came around a corner expecting to find a few grunts, but instead I found several camouflaged Elites. It was suprising, and I liked that. -I thought there were too many. Something's wrong though - they don't shoot you until you get close. That or I annihilated them with the BR without getting into shotgun range.

Overall, I thought the beta was pretty good, considering that it was a beta. I would give it a 9 out of 10. -I agree with an 8.9999(repeating decimal)

You never know what Santa will give you this Christmas. You expected some Elites, and now berserking Brutes come your way. They do have some coal in their pockets, though.

Assault Rifle is supposed to contrast with the SMG:

Assault Rifle does more damage, but has smaller clip.
SMG does less damage, but has a very large clip.

This was lacking.

No, just the range, when the shotgun reticule would go red, and when the stealths start shooting at you from their firing positions.

one issue i did find out when i played through the campaign again was when i first encountered the stealth eleites at the escape pods; the damage effects from the "pods being destroyed" were killing elites and flinging their bodies out of the escape pod hatches.

That part was badly constructed in my opinion. They should probably put something of differentness. That many invis elites makes it not only stupid, but honestly annoying as well (not in the player's sense neither).

I just played with earphones and Hardware Acceleration and all set to max(excluding screen res, decals, specular and shadows), and it was beautiful, except for the lack of music in some areas.

I think the BR needs new contrails and anims, as well as a lower ammo capacity.

pretty good overal.

How bout more explenations of getting from place to place. Right now, it seems like all you're doing is running the opposite way you came from, killing on the way. Theres a huge meandering route that eventually takes you to a excape pod, but there should be a reason why its meandering.

Maybe insert some cortana talk like "Unfortunatlly, all of the starboard ones have been taken. Procede to the nav point," " there's heavy damage on the upper rig, we'll have to go through the level 2," "Damn, the convonent got here to block us. you'll have to take them out."

Aside from that, I didn't understand what the green powerup did.
