Any chance of a fast shooting black silenced pistol with the laser sight with a somewhat large clip and then one with a smaller clip and more damage

In my opinion, the plasma pistol projectile is a tad too slow.

Now if only you guys could make it so that. At random moments you make it low gravity on certain parts of the map. That should be pretty fun on legendary.

a10 has too many narrow corridors, so free-flying with gravity isn't exactly the best option.
Oh wait, I have page 13, does that mean I'll have bad luck? Edited by Ethereial on Aug 12, 2009 at 05:21 AM

The last cutscene became unskippable, but it was quite humorous since hitting escape went to the beginning of the cutscene, so I repetitively hit it to watch the chief mash a marine's head into the ground

Has anyone else noticed that the uncased SMG has a more damgaging melee than the brute spiker? I ran through the map last night on legendary in slow motion and was laying out brutes left and right with an empty uncased SMG. I found it rather amusing that it pwned brutes when it had no ammo and flung grunts like ragdolls when you hit them. If you guys arent going to up the damage effect of the AR will you atleast give it the same ball busting melee damage as you gave to the uncased SMG?
PS- it was like being the guy from the beginning of the Lord of The Rings movie that was flinging people left and right by simply swinging his mace. (which brings up another question: "will you guys be adding the gravity hammer to this?" The brute melees are already set up to do this because they jump to melee and the hammer being there would make it more spactacular!) Edited by Switchblade on Aug 12, 2009 at 06:14 PM

*cough* wrong*cough cough* Melee speed is faster even in slow motion for the SMG(non-silenced one) and the AR does not make grunts bounce off walls or do backflips when you melee them.

Its just you. Upgrade your ram or something. I finished it on heroic , one thing i have to say , grenade spamming brutes , stacking grunts , improper tags and AR is too weak. Pistol is pretty good though , i felt that reducing the clip size to 8 gave a good challenge. I dont know if this is an isolated incident , or its just me , but my computer's screen went blue after finishing the ending cutscene , then it froze and i had to turn it off.

I think that's because we don't have a30 to load after a10, so it just has a white screen instead. I assume that when the entire campaign is released the problem will be fixed.

Isn't your computer broken for the 10th time in 3 years? I still don't see how the laser sight is annoying for some. And just to relate, it's like using an MP40 against the Covenant. The AR, that is. Oh, and according to Halopedia, where there are admins, it should take half a clip to take out an Elite, if they're vitality system is similar to a cyborg, on Normal. No. Only a10 was public beta'd because it's the type of level that draws people in. The next chance you'll get for playing other levels will be the final.

I absolutely despise the AR/BR and pistol melee. The AR and BR ones just look like a half-assed h3 copy tbh, and the pistol melee looks wierd. The angle the wrist is at is totally unnatural. I can't imagine meleeing like that. Move the shoulder up so the arm is more straight, instead of bent the way you currently have it.

The BR had the AR's animations(I'm guessing someone else noticed this?), but I don't know with the damage effects; the SMG's melee had the same damage effect as the AR, but with different animations(and the elbow looks kinda weird); the AR's was great, specifically against brutes, just like H3, but it's your opinion, so say what you want(without profanity and violation of forum rules). Personally I agree with this post, but the AR melee seems fine for me. The AR and BR can use the same reloading animations since they have the same structure, but please, change the melee and weapon ready animations for the BR. Oh, and this is a cheap copy of Master Chief's younger brother. (MC=2552, CYBORG=27__ something) Edited by Ethereial on Aug 15, 2009 at 03:54 AM

Ok, so I got my Halo fixed yesterday, and I played through the beta (on Normal). First off, something was screwed up with the MC biped, because it didn't show up, and in its place was these wierd glitchy lines or something. EDIT: Videos. I know there's no sound. and ignore the lag, my computer sucks. http://www.xfire.com/profile/karrde47/videos/I loved the spiker, but the reload completely obstructed the entire screen. That should be changed. I agree with everyone who said the Assault Rifle was underpowered. 2 clips to take out an Elite's shields? Needs more damage. I loved the smg too, but there wasn't enough ammo for it, and I didn't like how it wasted the entire clip when I reloaded. Also, its melee is like rapid-fire. I didn't like how I had to swap battle rifles to get more grenades for it. I'm not a fan of the battle rifle, but its grenades were useful so for parts of the level I kept one with me. I had to keep switching it for another one with more grenades though, and that was annoying. I felt like I was constantly running out of ammo. Thee only weapon that was never on short supply was the plasma pistol. The Brute and Elite plasma rifles didn't seem that different to me, except for the colors. The Brute plasma rifle is supposed to do more damage, but overheat rapidly. But it felt the same as the Elite varient. I was very impressed by the fact that there was very little lag, even on my crappy computer. The only lag I got was from the Hunter beams (TOO MANY PARTICLES) and the warthogs that were on fire. The new areas were nice, but they made the level seem a bit too long. The original purpose of the mission was to escape the ship with Cortana as fast as possible, but I felt like I was just running through the ship killing everything I found. There didn't seem to be much of a point to it, except for making the level longer. Some of the new areas were a little confusing, and I had to run around quite a lot to find where I was supposed to go. I never actually got lost, but it seemed like there was just too much. Some of the new areas were lacking music as well. Later on in the new areas closer to the end of the level there were very few marines, alive or dead. And I was constantly using Covenant weapons because there were very few human ones to be found. It's was supposed to be a human ship, so I really think there should be more humans and human weapons. And I really don't get the sleeping Grunts. Why would they be sleeping if they were invading the ship? I really did like how some of the encounters in the original BSP were changed. I came around a corner expecting to find a few grunts, but instead I found several camouflaged Elites. It was suprising, and I liked that. Overall, I thought the beta was pretty good, considering that it was a beta. I would give it a 9 out of 10. Edited by Karrde on Aug 15, 2009 at 11:26 AMEdited by Karrde on Aug 15, 2009 at 12:32 PM
