Thats my opinion...Since Hunters weapon and Halo 2 and halo 3 fuel rod look completely differente and fire in a completely differente way...

Fuel Rod is a class of weapon, not a specific one.


Yeah, you have a "Fuel Rod Gun" and a "Fuel Rod Cannon"
There the same class, but different weapons.

Oh....Never knew that...I always asumed Fuel rod was one type of a weapon...Thanks for the info.

Is it me or is CMT only taking suggestions which 90% of the community give? Either they're too busy or too careless. There's a fine line between not listening and not caring.

the weapon that hunters use in Halo 1 is the Fuel Rod Cannon. While its the Assault Cannon in Halo 2/3.
Great level.

*SMG reload looked awesome and the reload waste was good. it made you use your ammo better.

*BRG was great fun to use! al headshots though the reload for the Grenade was too long. if you could make it so it reloads at the same time as its ammo does that would be better.

*Pistol was meh. it couldn't get sadly which ruined that weapon for me.

*Spiker i thought was good yet there is something missing. probably the firing effect is too small.

*AR useless to kill anything but grunts and unshielded elites

*Camo elites were good but there was too many. the Ossoona are elites who work alone.

*Brutes made me spend five minuets just looking at the detail on the armor. just wow!

*Elites were too few but they looked really good.

*Hunters were -Blam- Huge! and the assault cannon was well worth the effort to kill them. even though 1 shot from the BR in the back would kill them.

*Not enough grenades. also you might want to place some dead marines in places like the sleeping quarters.

The Banshee's secondary attack, AA Wraith's projectiles, Halo 1 shoulder-mounted Fuel Rod Gun, Halo 2/3 shoulder-mounted Fuel Rod Gun, Halo 1 Hunter's Fuel Rod Cannon, Halo 2 Hunter's Assault Cannon, and Halo Wars's Covie Turret anti-vehicle upgrade are all variations of the Fuel Rod Cannon.

A "Fuel Rod" is the actual projectile, radioactive fuel rods.

Hey just posting this to ask if anyone has been having problems with the flycam. Whenever I try it dosen't work.

Yes, some of the extra's aren't functional yet. Guess you'll have to wait for the final (oh no!)

It never worked for me either, so thats what I guessed. In some private beta of b30 I use to have none of the extra's worked at all for me.

Flycam uses a devmode script, so try using devmode. Time freeze isn't actually useful since all you can do is look around. It automatically seems to freeze when you turn on flycam. 3rd person would be nice.

Try holding down the middle mouse button. I had the same problem at first, figured it out by accident.

But whoa.... CMT, you totally blew my expectations away! I've been following the other thread for a while but just had to register after playing this. Everything seems pretty much perfect to me, and I don't mind the AR not being so useful against the brutes - just keeps you on your toes and forces you to use a little logic. I know I'm probably gonna get flamed for this, but maybe the BR should be introduced in the first open area? (The hanger-type area with the marines fighting below, given that its a mid-range weapon). Most of the weapons were made available pretty close to the beginning, not that I'm complaining. Just an idea =)

Theres like 5 brgs and alot of ammo, u wont run out. And some marines have brg i think

I loved this map. but that golden brute near the end took forever to kill. he wasted my whole asult rifle. i had to go back to where the marines were and kill one of em for more. lol. but heck i like a tough fight!

It's like a Zealot really. The AR would've been perfect with more damage. But yeah, I guess the abundance of ammo kinda compensates for that.

Now that I think about it, perhaps CMT was a bit too generous with the grenades for the BR grenade launcher. As you said yourself, masters, "the grenades are too valuable to just waste on elite shields" and i felt myself using them for almost every encounter.

ok i finished the level and heres some updates from my perspective:

1.) when i went up ladders id get to the top and it wouldnt let me off so i had to jump off. id move like i was going to climb up then id go down a little bit and itd keep repeating.

What i liked:

The New Elite skins r amazing. very detailed in my opinion. The BR is good with headshots (thx goes to whoever who said it eariler) and the AR does pretty good too. Although i could stand for a few more grenades and maybe some plasma nades too?

Great beta cant wait for the next

I finally managed to get pictures of the Matinence passage that has the unlocked door. (I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be locked, because it's not a path used to continue the level...)

Thanks. I feel really dumb because of that.

And of course, the issue i was going to show was already addressed, so double fail for me.

Then that leaves the last thing for me to mention, one of the gratings on the floor near the end of the new BSP has some odd lighting; it makes anything standing on it darker. Just pointing that out if it wasn't noticed (I didn't see anyone post anyhing about it...)

I realized the brute at the sleeping grunts doesnt like to move or do anything

It was a "sleeping" brute. If you went insanely close to him, shot him, or threw a grenade at him, then he would start shooting at you, just like how those above actions wake sleeping grunts.

Models of two pilots changes during opening cutscene. In the beginning camera fades into the Pillar of Autumn's bow and shows them. In the next camera angle, their clothes are different...

Okay, I've finished testing the level, here's what I thought:

The good:
- Nice work on adding new areas to the level. Makes the Pillar of Autumn look much bigger.
- Weapons and enemies (I particularly like the Elites) look really good to say it's Halo 1.
- CMT Extras was a nice addition.
- Weapons are very good, very fun to use (except the MA5C, see below).

The Bad:
- Some of the new areas seem a bit empty.
- MA5C could do with a bit more damage.

Bugs:
- Brutes will sometimes come out with too much blood when hit, sometimes no blood at all.
- Picking up the Adrenaline will say "Picked up M6C"
- Picking up the Fuel Rod Cannon will say "Picked up M6C"
- A Brute in a new area with some sleeping Grunts has no AI.

I will continue to play through it and list any more bugs I find. It's looking pretty solid at the moment, it just needs a few changes and fixes here and there.

The brute's set to sleep, but it has no sleeping animation, so it just stands there. You can of course, wake it up, the same way you would wake up a sleeping grunt.

Just beat it on legendary, man it was a challenge. Any ways smg marines are helpfull, but the ar ones first off didn't do enough damage and second off they need to fire more than a three shot burst every 5 seconds to help.
