anyways, it's possible because you can make either
-the hack i told about earlier, but i wont blarg about it here
-by making a grenade weapon, and modifie the hud to act as grenade > means you're carrying a third weapon and you have the primary and secondary trigger, wich are 2 grenades in 1 wep, so you still have an open slot for the flag or oddball.
- add 2, yes 2 secondary triggers, to the weapon, to be able to do that, the numbers on your nade count will sync, but not that box around the nade like in halo 3, only the default frag and plasma, but you CAN make 4 grenades available, thats the point
-last option is a single player only method, but since this isn't single player you don't care about this method

just 4 methods to make 4 grenades, they all work, and i use the third method i described because it's the most complete and close-to-halo3 method.

either people here use their brain and set up what i just said, or they wait till im done with The Pit BSP i got from cls grunt to soon release everything you've ever seen me doing about halo 3 so you guys can all rip it / copy it / whatever

there is nothing that's not possible in halo, use your brains people, that's what the helmet is protecting

Also yes that is the h3pistol back because mine always looked bad in the back in fp so... When i get time i will use that as a reference to remodel my own

yea basically a texture could have handled that but they were in the reference I used. I supposed it was made of a rubber material like a grip or something.

the little dents in the grip would be nice, during reload you're gonna see it, and i liked that small detail.

for the rest, i suggest adding detaills first to the noticable areas, not as extreme as COD4 did, LOL those weapons ONLY had detaills on the visable part, the part you didnt see was whoaz, well if you've seen the ripped fp weapons you'll know what i mean =P
but anyways, work a bit more on the stuff you do see, i like the models so far

i hope you're gonna use the laser sight, either cmt's way by modelling it in the FP weapon, or my way by making it an actual harmless laser projectile for secondary fire, at the cost of a grenade, but i do like the small detail, or replace the useless flashlight with the activation of laser sight

I like the flashlight idea just lining it up with your rectile seems difficult though i don't know about that yet.

I am confused as hell about the triangle count on that pistol... looking at the wireframe, I can see cylinders with a lot of sides, I can see loads of usless faces and usless triangles. How is it only 2.8K triangles? new101, add me on xfire: martynball

Could you send me your pistol so I can take a look at it please? I just want a good look at the poly placement because from what I can see it is at least 3K triangles. it could be the wireframe. Im not saying your faking the count or anything. Mine has 2532 triangles and it has half the detail.

btw, it looks good.
And what are your render settings for the pistol scene?

Alright, the terrain is almost done and all that's left is to make the cliffs and some finishing touches to the buildings. Next time I update i hope to be done with the modeling and ill post some pics of the final model.

The Automag USES the Halo 2 animations D:

Commenting on Broke's animations though, the firing looks a bit weak, and the reload could use some more movement overall. The ready's left hand could be a bit quicker also, but overall the animations are very good copies, as always.

Also, it looks like the cliffs just go straight down. And i agree the structures are boring but the terrain seems worse. Maybe give the cliffs like a outside or inside bevel instead of having them drop straight off.

the grenade throwing animation: left arm moves to quick. i haven't used the halo 3 pistol in a while so i cant remember off the top of my head but i can only see the arm for a split second and then the arm disappears. Other than that i would improve on what ODX said.
Very nice animations though!

Yes it looks like the terrain on the left side does not have a lot of detail. Unless this will not be the only land area of your map, i suggest that you make the terrain there a bit more detailed. The side nearest the buildings is ok i suppose.

Also make sure you do the same thing on the large cliffs that will be surrounding your map if that is the way you will be doing this map.

new101. Instead of messing around with your pistol you can use mine if you want, but you might need to resmooth it. It is allready unwrapped. And you have the file.

If you use it though make sure you give me credit. And texture it good :)

Make sure to make a classic version of this.
Your structures could use a bit more detail here and there but it looks cool so far.

I might use it as a 3p model if i take out some of the details but I just downloaded dee's tutorial he posted so I can't wait to see that. But i can see in some places where i can sacrifice some polys but 3900 is where im at so far.

Better yet texture bake mine and put it on yours xD only if ce could support normal mapping i would make it super high poly lol

I don't consider mine a firefight =| More of a kill-as-many-enemies-as-you-can-in-a-fixed-time-and-get-rewards mode.

On-topic: Not bad, ASP. Is this an SP or MP map BSP?

I believe you mean "staging a coup". And if he was, then the other team members would disagree, no? I feel perfectly fine with him being ASP's leader.
