I don't like it because it looks wrong. You just took the regular Elite Flood model and just slapped some unscathed looking armor on top of it, and that's my opinion, I don't expect you not to put the model in the game because one person said they didn't like it.

Yes we did just slap some elite armor onto the model, but thats how all the developers did it.
Look at CMT, it looks like they did the same, although I could be wrong. In Halo 3, they did, and thats because they had to (They had to because of the 'infection' system they have in place).
Do you honestly expect us to make custom elite armor, complete new elite model, and new flood models? Because if you do, then your expecting a lot. And I can already see the reaction I'm gonna get if I ask Mythril or any of the modellers on the team to do that: "Your kidding me, right?".

Well, if we didn't do anything with the models, then it would jsut be another mod. We want to make it different.
Maybe I came across angry in some of my posts, this was not the idea. I do respect almost all of your opinions here, besides a few. If enough people said that it doesn't look good, and gave us ideas on what to do, then we would happily change it.

Beta texture I'm working on, trying to blend the head part in and making the upper body part less intensive blue. This is still a very early BETA of the skin. Thats the stock Halo model, and we wanted something different for a change, not just the stock model, so we decided on modifieing it, for now anyway.
Update: Added some more Ai to one of the big battles. Still having problem with bsp switching and music. Anyone think they can help with the bsp switching problem?
This is the case so far. I place the trigger volume and name it "bsp 2,3" without quotes and it doesn't seem to want to load the next bsp, any ideas whats causing this?

Hey guys, sorry it has been so long since an update from me, as usually it's exams... Anyways, I've been busy ALOT with the hud, meters and stuff driving my crazy as I made a new Radar from scratch, inspired by CMT when I played CMT-Tensity (means inspired by, not ripped from) Also, the Blur effect, I'm trying a dozen of settings and made the overlay, sorry I have no screenshot of it with overlay, but anyways the effect works, here are some of my tests: (without Bloom, as the Blur makes viewing hard enough already)Do note, people with low specs running in omfghax FF mode, will not see this blur. Some are better then the other, I will look at it soon wich is the best, as the options are infinite for me. This effect is circular, means the towards the middle of the screen I made it clearer, could be in any other form, but I think this way is best. Edited by BeachParty clan on Feb 8, 2009 at 05:36 PM

Update: Health packs have been removed as it didn't make much sense. There are now 'Heal zones'. Where you heal, obviously. These areas are usually a mass of dead bodeis where the flood player absorbs Calcium to grow more biomass to replace the old that was shot off or destroyed.
Also, on a side note. Many people may be thinking "By making the Flood playable your taking away there scarieness". Well, I've had a few ideas on how to mix this not so, which includes making the game more bloody, dark enviroments e.t.c. Edited by Lone Warrior on Feb 9, 2009 at 11:23 AM

Nice work Dee. And I'm not talking about the infection form pods. I'm talking about Biomass. Its Flood matter, essentially every bit of Flood matter that grew over High Charity in H3. Obviously not something that size, something just to place in certain areas.
