Oh right lol, anyways in that part the marines drive the hog properly, and not all over the place like they usually do for me. Also marines will be driving 3 vehicles in the mod, including the hog.

I only see about 4 distinct textures on the structure. Add some of the lights and other textures to detail it.

Theres actually 6, not including the sky. And also, there is detail. I got 2 other detail maps on the shaders. The video was taken via xfire, compressed with zewi stein, then imported to imageshack, which was compressed even more. So do you understand where I getting at :)

I should just take some pics of it.. I'll do that later though.

Hey guys, lotsa fuzz 'round the tech tree table again?
1: I seriously vote against the ancient knight armor
2: err, you guys know what rigging is? you move their mouth with the ponytail bone
3: you heard of AI? why would it stand still? they use the "Flaming" animation set when getting infected.
4: if it were for me, I'd use as high poly models I got, but you all like to have it no pack too much, so, lol, if you say so i won't

I've been sick, badly, wich had me down for a week o.O so the updates have been off for awhile.
I can't say much, but all i did was made some random vids about encounters, the 'new physics' of the scenery and about the hud, nothing much

I've been working on my rigging, all flood models are fine now, they look in ALL ways better than the h1 ones qua model, i don't know what you whine about, the halo 1 flood looks like some piece of mud shaped like a snowman...

however if this results in halo 1, halo 2, AND halo 3 mixed up, then we're gonna have some nice long discussion =D
but rather then just adding the stuff again, I'll just merge them into 1 model to randomize it along with the rest

meh i still don't feel like doing this after i've been off for, too long imo, but i could use the fp rigs, why is it taking so long? it takes about an HOUR, not weeks

most of my time went in perfectionising the rigs of my nanosuit, and I've been playing lots of other games like jericho and C&C (gosh, anyone still play Tiberian Dawn? lol, i do) there's been lots of interesting stuff that could be used, not talking about ripping it

it's brilliant that we're still alive, and that i am, different, lol, just want to mention it again

I havn't done collisions yet, didn't got the time for it yet.

i dont know if this will be in the level. But for unholy's holding cell. When you release the flood from there you and the rest of the flood should run back outside and have a spirit dropship waiting there for extraction. (the infected of course) and then you complete the level. (just a suggestion, it came up in my head just then)

Note: Chirst, the amount of people willing to help now is becoming quite large, I wouldn't be surprised that by the end of this the whole community would be working on it lol, though I would seriously doubt it would happen. But, like I said, I'm glad to see so many people willing on helping us.

Also, It'll be custom flood models if everything goes to plan.

Thats retarded, and will take up 10x the necessary tag space, there's nothing a texture the rendered at 1024x1024 cant do that a 4096x4096 can, in halo's engine.

actually it can, the texture is cut off from a distance, but that's why, and what, i discovered with my nanosuit, when you're up close the fine detaills appear, it's like a LOD cutoff but for textures, 4096 is a good res for little detaills, and i'm such a hater of blur =P

i am a huge fan of flood
and if this doesn't go well(and i think it will go well), i mightnever look at flood he same way again...

The HaloWars flood were lame. I mean, grunt flood, and jackal flood? No, just no. The rest was fine though, but it wont be like those models, simply because their pretty low poly, due to it being an RTS game.

I suppose that they had to have grunt and jackal flood for balance. I mean, if only UNSC players got their resources turned against them, while only elites got infected for the Covenant, that wouldn't be very fair.
