Spartan i do have a question for you.

Could you by any chance, if you release a map or tagset of these bipeds, the permutation names in a "reed me" document? I found this interesting command in halo ce that would work for customizing your own permutations.

Honestly dont have some big pissy fit over zteam not releasing the h3r spartans, just deal with the h3b spartan permus thats out and make something decent out of it

My project for the halo 3 beta spartan, make randomly changing permutations along with randomly changing secondary colors with the mark vi detail randomly color changing and mb with the back-pack default halo 1 weapons, if this is even possible :P I'll most likely do it after this week after my finals unless somebody did this before me ;)

Apart from making something yourself to get H3R bipeds, yes H3B will do, but modelling H3R won't make you the first or last one to do that, I did too =P

May I ask you, are you REALLY going to do random secondary colours, with random mark VI detaill? you know how F'ing much JMS's you're going to export? What I did with the old bipeds are just random FULL SETS. After that I made random parts, but that was requiring SO MUCH JMS's i wouldnt bother doing random secondary colours, especially not even the mark 6 detaill, it would require X^3 ammount of exporting, and you're going to have to export more than 100...

well good luck with slave labour =D if you're going to succeed with it, you're going to get a helluva cookie from me.

oh and, you can't make backpacks in combination with random permutations if im right, so sorry, not possible, unless you want Fubar sets and hans kazan spartans changing in the middle of a firefight, because if you randomise, you randomise all

also, gamma was writing a script for my bipeds to instead of random, let you setup your own armor parts, by thawing a room full of parts as weapons (oddballs) and when you pick up a part, that permutation is loaded. it's going to be like a lobby to setup instead of randomising, but probably only going to be used as dressing room for machinima.

BP, I thought regions could bypass all of the JMS combo creations? Just assemble all the parts as permutations of a region, and then it randomly selects them?

4 jms's? you're not going to randomise each part as extreme as i did i see =P
for the halo 3 beta parts only i'd export about 20, as i make unique combinations too, not just sets, that's just cheap for my standards...

and no i dont doubt you, but i did my research (wut, 3 years ago? lulz idc) and i just do it the way i know it works, if you can prove me otherwise i'd happily believe you

however i dont say that the randomising is impossible, if you got slaves to export alot of jms's, but i still doubt the backpacks will be working, YOUR PERMS WILL CHANGE WHEN YOUR BACKPACK DOES, prove me wrong here please.

oh and ehh, what the heck does that screenshot got to do with anything?
i can post em too, but it won't make me backpacks, it's something i've been stuck with for a long time, CMT couldnt give me the awnser either

Fix the smoothing in the hands.

EDIT: Also the neck looks wierd. The shape of it is inhuman as it looks like a triangle coming out of your shoulders.

theres nothing of fixing the neck as this is just the front of the pic and I did NOT really make all of the stuff

The body is the only thing i did NOT make

the rest (uv unwrap, textures, clothes, etc.) however I DID.

Exactly. So many people are just like babies - they want something when they don't have it, and when they have (H3B models) they don't do anything with it and want something else. How about someone put these current models to good use before everyone starts asking for rogue and other permutations.

QFT. I despise baking bumps into the diffuse map. It always makes the shader look like crap. If the game doesn't support bumps, don't bother trying to mimic it.

if it were halo pc bumpmaps could in theory be used on a model. but ive done it and it looks like ass.
