Is it just me, or are there no more interesting threads on this forum anymore.
I mean, what happened to those thrilling late nights of forum browsing.
I haven't been able to much popcorn to threads here for weeks, come on people, I know you can do better than this!

like seriously i was in middle school i have friggin job now In 2007-2008 I was in my senior year of High School. Now I'm a software engineer. How life changes huh? Remember 2006 - 2010 era when people's maps got leaked and they cried to Dennis to remove them. When cool maps got released on the forum but not on the website. The Duce vs Masters threads, Sphinxbio, DaniloC and Saper, or this: This was the best.

There is a new generation now and most of them don't care about Halo let alone Halo CE.
Meanwhile the older people that actually do are growing up and having a job and family. Therefore they barely have time left to spend countless hours behind a computer to make something in a limited engine that makes it really hard to make something cool only for it to be forgotten the next month because the community is dead.
It's sad, but it's the truth.

there is a lot less development progress being shown, and all the newbies coming in seem to care about is making a new halo game or porting halo to crai enjin or ue4. tbh i have been taking a break from ce (involuntarily because i never know when im going to work -_-)polynomious/vking mapping team are having issues. jesse is still around i think. spiral is busy working on his stuff, and cmt is busy as ever. from my perspective stuff is busy as ever but thats all happening behind closed doors atm and noone is posting here. ill try and post some updates on stuff later on but so far things have been going slowly for me and mikecyborg. its been over a month since i loaded up sapien or guerrilla last and i have been putting more time into other hobbys recently not to say im not getting any work done though ;) Edited by killzone64 on Oct 19, 2015 at 01:19 AM

The past always seems better than the present. Maybe the past was a little more active, but I still think there are things here to look forward to.
What is considered "old" here anyway? I hope I'm not old...

What is considered "old" here anyway? I hope I'm not old... The way I personally see it, anything under 2008ish is 'old'. Because that was before the rips really took off., and 7+ years is a long time to be active on these forums. My account says 2009 but I was lurking the site since about late 2007/ early 2008. I knew how childish people (including myself) could be, so I actively avoided creating an account for a long time so as to not be a part of it. I only registered to tell people off for getting upset over me having (and distributing) leaked zteam h2 weapons.

Maybe its becuase new projects from newbies are always ignorred, and that always is a message like "Do things like a profesional or get out"
Good things can born here, we just need to help them so they can improve

I tried my hand at map making a few years back, made a crappy Mombassa mod and attempted to retexture and revamp Ambush with no avail. To be honest I haven't even attempted to release any content I made or ported to CE because of the backlash that people give around here. I had some decent Tribes Ascend Bipeds I had ingamed a while back, all the classes etc. but never got around to release them, probably have them on a drive somewhere. To sum up my mini rant Xfire is dead so my contacts with CE players is essentially dead as well, No one I personally know plays anymore and the only thing I am interested in is SPV3. SPV3 is the only reason I come back to this forum at all, or lurk the depths of Halomods. CE is dead, and we should all move along and just let the lame horse die in peace versus beating the living day lights out of it to keep it alive.
(Is that Juicy enough)
