Are you launching the game from your desktop? If so try to launch it from your install directory on the C drive, there should be an executable over there.
I'm out for some new Yoyo island.
You pretty much have two choices:
1- Use Wine
2- Install a VM with Windows and run Halo from there.
And so, this came true at last.

I use Max 2011 which I bought with $$$$, also use Blender on my Linux machines.
Ahhhhhh Norton AV, I remember when 10 years ago it killed my Win XP partition and I had to re-install Windows again from scratch.
I see it still lives to it's name. What a legend.
I love seen some old faces here and there.
If Microsoft sees a lot of profit in making a Halo port to the PC I'm pretty sure they would be doing it by now.
The problem lies is doing it without affecting Xbox sales.
Gearbox designed the extra multiplayer maps that came in Halo PC.
