cliff walls aren't too flat, just a little around to middle, it's just that the details aren't too noticeable in 3ds max, besides, i don't have too much imagination (and knowledge - maniac1000 said he was going to make me a tutotial tho :D, but that will be for my next map) on cliff walls, but really, are they that bad? :(

about the ground well, i will add more variation to it :)

hmm, i like the cliff walls, they are pretty nice... seriously guys, they aren't any worse than those that we've already seen in other maps, even those made by bungie (like gephyrophobia, or timberland (they don't have any detail... not even in texture!!), imo you're over reacting... no cliff walls in halo ce look real... not even resemble a little those from real life


and now about the ground, yeah i could use some hills, so players have more difficulty seeing other players

Well, some hills, i just don't want to add such rough terrain because there are some scenery objects i want to add that need some flat area
You can have a better view of the cliff walls, almost from the player's perspective, not that flat, you tell me

Updates!

Nothing here is final
shaders need polishing
still need to make sky model
ilumination will be different
more things will be added to bsp

This is amazing! Great job~ ^^

...Personally, though, I think you could put a little more detail on the horizon and skybox
(It's just me, but I'd rather look at something more interesting than endless ocean -maybe
you could add something like small islands or thunderstorms?)

i'm planning to make a mixture of the sky from the second level of halo 4, delta halo and the forerunner space ships from halo wars!
you will soon see some pics of that (i hope) :D

ChBgt, I don't think the texture fits the tower well, it just doesn't go well with it

I'd suggest something Valhalla or Ragnarok like

For the forerunner building, why not add glowing forerunner holo-symbols like this.


map is seclusion

Also what kind of tagset will you be using?

Lul why did I say symbols. Also I didn't mean it had to be those colors, maybe orange for red base and a classic sky blue color for blue base.

Yeah, some holo panels would look great in your map Bgt

And talking about the sky box with halo 4 style, are you sure you can pull that off?
the way you're describing it sounds... complicated :S

that's exactly what i was thinking, it looks kinda... bulky(?)

hmm i actually like it better
you don't need to replace it, the back looks too flat compared to the rest, maybe just remove that part and keep the rest?
