Look at all those pretty fake pictures that have absolutely nothing to do with the program the site is supposedly based around. You may also notice there has been no activity here since April first. (Late) April Fools! There was never really any halo editing kit being developed to begin with.

The project was started in early March. This is not an April fools joke. Progress will continue when school is out for some of the main developers. I have 22 days left of school and currently crammed with finals and tests.

I've been meaning to ask, are you planning to implement (or rather, re-implement since it was removed) the ability to create recorded animations in the scenario?

Put your focus on the others first. -Zekilk

I'd much rather utilize the animation recording feature which Bungie had in the original version of Sapien, than animate in 3ds or a similar program then export it. Mainly for three reasons: 1. They were able to record and have it save right there, on the spot, in the scenario, and no exporting hassle. 2. They could implement quite a few in-game actions within the recording. 3. They are recording right inside the environment in which the action will take place. If you want to do that in 3ds, you have to import the bsp and even then you aren't 100% sure where to place the object in the scenario. Edited by The Cereal Killer on May 9, 2011 at 01:07 AM

Personally I feel like the scope of the project is a bit big. I can't judge you and your team's dedication, but it seems to me like this is a bit much. I would focus on the core features of the program first, and then think about the bells and whistles later on.

Nope. http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=30228 He is like any other wannabe who makes a thread like this. As stated by someone else website is a joke. If a company put up a website like that, the people responsible for making it would get a cardboard box and a kick in the ass.

Found a guy that is very interested in helping the project move along and is probably going to take leadership position as soon as school gets out. He has been a good project lead for many projects i've taken part in and he is well suited for the task! Until then... I need a new song. nyan.cat has been stuck in my head for the past week.

Just making it clear that this has not been killed, and will not be killed.
I've been working on stuff for work and I have to run the drumline for the school I am in. I've also had a 103 fever for the past 6 days. My room is torn apart because we are painting which means my main computer isn't plugged in thus i don't log into xfire on a daily bases.
You can always contact me by my email and get a reply usually withen 8 hours (That's usually the most i ever sleep).
As soon as my room is complete and everything is set back up and i get confortable I will hit this project into full motion.
Do not call this project "Dead" unless i post that it is dead. It is NOT dead. Edited by ethreepoh on Jun 23, 2011 at 11:28 PM

Calling it dead would've been the only way to make the OP feel the absolute need to post, if it was still alive. If he didn't post, it would've been a sign it actually was dead. So.. win/win for me.

Edited by ethreepoh on Jun 23, 2011 at 11:28 PM It's been four months with no progress... you need to pull your shat together bro. Team coordination need improvement, 3-5 hours a week on the weekend each week would have been enough if everyone pulled together to write some code. You may actually have had something to show rather than "excuses... excuses... excuses... it's not dead cause I'm awesome". Hell one person working alone could have pulled off more by now. You even have tag management handled cause you're using blamlib. Just cause you say it's not dead doesn't mean squat til you actually show something you've done over the last 4 months with your dream team. Just don't put them all into a van with your custom built computers :grub:.

School, life, etc. I can't coordinate a team when I have 18 hour days of school, work, band, and a girlfriend. It's impossible to do it correctly. That is why I've waited for everything to finish before things started getting out of hand in every which direction without me looking over what was going on. I never said anywhere in this thread "i'm awesome." Don't put words in my mouth unless you can directly quote me. Progress will be made as soon as my room is together, right now i'm waiting for the paint to dry.

Your right, the way you're talking just sounds familiar. "It's not dead ". When do you expect to be finished this project, let me guess, when it's done right?

I am slow but i would be saying that your are trying to create a sandbox game editor using the Halo Game Engine. I though that you could use sapions tag system and add a linking code to allow in editor model importing exporting texturing and such.
You should make some of the things you want modulor [base engine/app then modules that could be added or removed.
