I think cloud based storage has been needed for a long time in this community, Gamma's HD dying and losing his entire tagset is prime example of this.

Source control (or even just simple back ups or RAID setups) would have solved this problem. Plus provide all the goodies needed in a development environment. Changlogs, versioning, branching, etc. The Cloud is just an abstract data service, not a solution (where source control is).

That access to tags scares me.
It needs a system of valued tags to prevent leaks and salads of incoherent stuff, in the optic of a communist tags Exchanges.

I assume that this community is a micro-post-apocalyptic society, so why not to try things that could apply when crisis have ruined the world

I've 2 trash-salvaged computers :P
Ones for XDK xbox programming, and the other is for HaloCE and Halo2Vonly.
Never had a harddrive crash, because those computers were made to do only one thing.

You should also keep downloads, music and the page file on a harddrive separate from the system drive, so all that disorganization doesn't fragment the harddrive or just-plain-old-ruin-the-consistency.

If you want to store something for more than a few years, get a USB stick and store it in a vacuum bag. Then it'll last forever ;)

People need your USERNAME to add you on Xfire, not your NICKNAME. Plus you're clearly an imposter posing as Cran, so please kindly stop posting. ;)

This guy? http://www.xfire.com/profile/sshers1/ How do you know it's not him?

Cran's immature but nowhere near as immature as the guy here. If it really is him, I'm disgusted at the change of behaviour.

Ha, your kidding right? This thing has been dead for months. Actually, to be fair it was never really alive.
