the problem i see with that is if the rider is an enemy then you wont be able to board that extra seat and even if you work out a way around that you still have the problem of making it so you don't have to get out to enter the abandoned driver seat if someone made it so you could enter enemy vehicles then you could do your plan i suppose. but they're is still the problem of not being able to melee when you are in a vehicle that halo one has

yes you could and i've done it in halo trial with HMT=halo mapping tools=it's for modders
but i don't like that because it is limited. if your standing under something to short and jump it can either kill you or you bounce back and through the ground and if you are trying to jump onto something that is shorter then your jump hight you expose yourself to be killed.i would much prefer to make the jetpack like in reach where you get to chose how high you go and i am working on it but it'l take time

Hijacking is not possible, and that falcon looks ok, if its your model i believe your going somewhere, if its ripped well i guess it works for this if it actually happens...

no i did not rip that model.i modeled it from nothing but pictures and videos so no it's not perfect and it isn't even done yet i still have to model the chainguns and the seats for them.and then i need to find someone to skin it for me and i have an idea of making the falcon destructible and then when it is killed it spawns a chaingun weapon that you can pick up and use

Ah yes, those are classic. This could more easily be implemented in singleplayer using attach and vehicle enter commands in script.

i have seen both of those before and they are not what i'm looking for what i meant by my post about wanting it to be like in reach is i want it not to be a vehicle think about it if you are in a jetpack vehicle and you try to reload by pressing E then oops you fall out and to your death

Not if you script it to make you automatically reenter the vehicle before you exit completely. Which has been done by the way.

but then you still have the bad physics and it doesn't look like the real halo reach jetpack meaning you have to look up to go up i am at this moment working on a flashlight powered jetpack and after making it i will change the control switch

*this post has been edited*ok guys so i have made a jetpack the acts like the one in halo reach it is NOT! a vehicle the only problem is it is powered by the flashlight witch makes it last way to long so i need to know how to change the lifespan of the flashlight to make it perfect

I really think a jetpack 'vehicle' with a handheld weapon is the best way. Maybe just have something that spawns it you that can carry around? 'tis similar to Reach anyways. Like I said, we don't have to make this exactly the same, we can be as creative as the limits of CE let us.

Nice. Yes please. Anyway, putting hijacking aside, is it possible to 'boost' vehicles in CE, maybe using a secondary weapon that makes you go faster rather than shoot?

Oh yeah also the new textured MAC Cannon looks awesome and true to the CE feel. I am so using that.

Haha doesn't matter to me I have the disc anyways, I'll just use that. As for the software, I'm not sure how to rip, just looks like a standard tag editor to me.

um sorry for posting that i've done this already again but i have. and it looks ok. the thing you use to tern it on and off is you have to hold CTRL to tern it on and let go to tern it off if you want the tutorial on how i did not make it but heres the link http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1060 this is the boost im talking about

not to mention this was made for a hi-poly engine so it also doesn't WORK as well for the engine unless you optimize it a lot.

Exactly my point, if its custom details can be put into the texture more than they are for the rip as normal maps fake most of their details. Fake bumping from rips is disgusting, just cell-shades everything.

I can make the armor lock for you guys if you want,I make new 3D bitmaps all the time so I can make a new really cool looking shield for you with particles etc if you would like.

you make 3d bitmaps?.i have made a falcon and don't wan't ripped bitmaps(mostly because i want to say it's all custom ) but don't have photo shop and i'm waiting to get the trial so that i can make custom cross hairs if you doubt that i have made a falcon i have put a video on youtube.com just do a search on (halo CE falcon)
