First you need to have console enabled. To do this, right-click your halo ce shortcut icon, choose properties > shortcut tab, then in the 'target' line put the word '-console' at the end of that directory, mine looks like this: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -console
Then open halo ce, on the ce title screen hit the ` button, this will enable console, and type: map_name tmc_a
The map will load for a second and then when the map is ready press ` again to disable console and the map will begin.

If you have any further questions add me on xfire (gooberphobia) and I'll go through it with you.



Is that massive, king of the sentinals thing, killable? Sorry, dunno its' name, big sentinal with arms and a split shield in front of it. I shot it quite a few times and it seemed to be taking damage. It's in the second last picture seen above.

I'm still running through the map, will upload some videos soon on my xfire account of things I encountered.
Found an awesome egg so far! ( EPIC higuy, I laughed my ass off when I got there!!)


Just pointing out it is there, I wish you happy hunting on the exact location.
Please don't share any more details since it's part of the reward.
If you did manage to find it don't say how or where or what is there.

Samus I still need to find, but I'm sure with a bit more exploration I would be able to find it.
There are still some other things I want to try out too before giving my overall judgement.

So without too much spoilers for the people that love a challenge while getting the best out of the map.
Try and reproduce the following images:

Shower under the waterfall in the cave:


Strange Birdie on the ground:


Beautiful view (+rep if you manage to reproduce this one)


Ghosting through tunnels


This one had my interest, why is this hall blocked? What mystery lies behind this obstacle?
Secret way to unlock it? Or just randomness?

No, not at all. Just pure gameplay!
I recorded a bunch of what I did, if you like I can upload some of the videos to my xfire.
The reason I don't post videos (yet) on the forum is because the map has only been out for a few days now. I personally believe that uploading videos of all the goodies can really destroy the wonder of exploring the map. Hence the way I make the screenshots and talk about the eggs in my previous comments.

im still looking for them easter eggs as well,but i have problem.i load the map with console then i complete the map,it was mentioned that after the map is completed to exit you use console again and type quit.okay i did that but when i run console and start the map up again,the game starts from the cut scene just before i fight the elite at the end.any ideas why the map isn't loading so that i'm playing from the beginning?

thanks sean okay it worked but to be honest i did try to hit esc and nothing happened probably my pc was just being slow and i was impatient,right i'm off to find these easter eggs that you guys have been finding.

Just finished playing it twice. Lemme say right of the bat, this is the best sp mod for halo that has ever been made. The gameplay is near perfect, and the landscape always presents you with interesting opportunities to take out enemies. The additions are flora and fauna was very impressive and added much more to the halo color pallet (green and silver).

Even with the unpolished animations and unconvincing voice work, I would give this mod a 9/10.

However, I cant look past a few major design flaws. Even though I supported the decision of using the original tag set, I must say now that it was a mistake. Even if the mod came out more "true to its roots," it also looked like the developers were afraid to take any risks or were just plane lazy. There should have been one or two (no more than two) new and creative weapons we haven't seen before. Interesting weapons is one of the things the halo franchise is built on.
As for the current default weapons, why not use community made HQ remakes of them? The CMT AR and SMG is gorgeous, but pple refuse to use it because they're afraid of being called rippers. I personally feel that the CMT ma5k would have been a great addition to the lumorial arsenal. (http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=3972) The developers should only be concerned with making the best possible experienced, not how they think the public will see them before anything is released.

To conclude this review, I would like to quickly list the things I liked and the things that need work:

Liked:

  • Forreruner architecture was impeccable

  • Flora and fauna was a very smart and rewarding addition

  • Enemy placement and battles were invigorating and flawlessly executed

  • No lag or game breaking bugs for me

  • Addition of bug enemy

  • Amazing vista's




Disliked:

  • awkward ending cinematic (it should say, "end of part I" or something)

  • lack of new weapons or polish on old weapons




With all of the above considered, my final score is an 8/10. PLAY IT!!!

Anyways, the suggestion of using the cmt ar seems unneeded considering the use of an existing ar. If weapons were to be added I would suggest a Halo 2 battle rifle and maybe the carbine, but not much further.

im saying useing the CMT AR instead of the current one. It looks better, sounds better, and animations are better.

Also, by new weapons, i mean NEW weapons. Not halo 2, or halo 3, or reach. I mean 100% new. It would be nice to see more risks taken in ep. 2.


Also, 8/10 is a great score! I think its stupid to give it a 9/10 because it overlooks the potential of the project. Im just saying, what the project did, it did right. But it didnt seem to try to revolutionize or anything. It just stuck to what had already been tried and tests for the past ten years. I just want one brand new weapon. Something I havn't seen before.

Oh, yeah, that was another good thing about the gameplay that's undermentioned. The covenant gun turrets were used to a larger (and much better) extent than the original campaign did. Basically, I had fun fighting the turrets.
I don't like the CMT v2 AR. The fp really makes it look like a toy.
IMO the CMT ma5k isn't particularly useful in SP. The rate of fire is more effectively used if you were in mp, for example, where you have enough ammo to waste.

You can edit for a reason. Plus, the SP version allowed headshots. It was like using the AR except you could inflict headshots and a slightly higher rate of fire.

Different weapons would be a nice touch, I personally like the animations for the carbine and the spiker. The BR is always a handy weapon, sometimes over-powered though.

It certainly plays better. Really, Halo 1 weapons are kind of boring and all their uses are skewed over and unbalanced.

They made lumoria with the original concept of halo in mind, so they felt that it would improve gameplay. I think they made the right choice, but I still had hoped to see custom weapons tweaked to fit the gameplay in Lumoria.

I just played it and its Really good
But i do have a question
you see i would have enjoyed it a lot more if the thing wouldn't lag can anyone help me fix this or suggest better graphics card
By the way, when i 1st played halo on this comp the halo PC campaign didn't lag like that

review:
Pros:
interesting story
no lag
good scripting (technically speaking)
good game play,
good rendering and art
voice actors

cons:
poor voice quality, the actors seemed like they we're reading off a script more than being in the moment
only one poorly placed checkpoint (right after the warthog is dropped off, the next checkpoint is when you're far ahead on the map.
cut scenes we're a little...jumpy, the models seemed to disappear and reappear several times throughout.

my opinion:
9/10, good work, will press f5 on single player campaign list for when the next episode comes out ;)

did you put it in your Halo Custom Edition\maps folder?

did you load it from the menu with console? (You cant load it though multiplayer)
