I have mancannons in my map, they work fine. It all depends on how you model the surroundings. For example, if you just stick a mancannon on a flat plane, you'll shoot in a random direction. In my map I modelled them like this:

The little hole at the bottom is so that you fall in, then because you are falling down, the damage will propel you (almost) straight back up, into the curved ceiling which then launches you out the front.

well, that would make narrows look awkward, although it would work for other occasions.

I remembered they worked perfectly almost all of the time when we played on that map. It was actually fun.

Well the mancannons i textured look almost exactly like that. they just need an extra invisible plane or 2.

Narrows is a much farther distance, theres a chance of being killed on impact.
Tool slow, you won't get to the end.
Too fast, you'll impact and die.

wait so now u guys just left the god dam man cannons? The tag set are not fullly done yet,model are not texture and man cannons,i saw someone on xfire done a really good one before using some sort of jpt tag.

I agree that the mancannons are the big problem. But seriously, don't use damage effects, and don't just use teleporters! I really think vehicles are the way to go. Really simple, and it works, either through action button or a simple script.

They die..? Even if they didn't die, they would both still fall into the valley and die. So what difference does it make if it happens right when they collide?

What do you mean? Mancannons go one-way.
The vehicle way is just adding a MC-enter animation, which is a leap the distance of the bridge.
Give me the bsp (or the gap measurement) and I can do it lickety-split.

Not 100% true. I actually bounced upward once when I hit someone and went higher. I think it may have just been a glitch because I THOUGHT what you said there was supposed to be the case in every instance of collision. But for the sake of reality I guess we can say that you should always die when you hit each other.

Make a bitmap that would make the gun look like:



so that the guns are affected by the light, and are really shiny. It would be a nightmare for people with ADHD >_>

I also think i am going to keep the default stats for the weapons except non-halo ce weapons.

Shotgun - h1 shotgun projectile, firing rate, ect.
