They already portaled it as best as they could, it still lags.

Good idea, but everyone is pent up about adding man cannons.


IDk why everyone is. It's so stupid because you can't shoot someone like you can in halo 3 because of the lag and no one can shoot you whilst in there with much chance because of the lag so there is eally no point in having them in CE. tele would be just fine.

Yeah, I seriously want it. My Valhalla and Standoff are getting done, but I'd like these bsps too. Map pack release by me, maybe? Ssandtrap, SO, Valhalla, Foundry, Narrows? That would be leet.
Anyway, if you want to trust anyone with the bsps, it should be me, I think.

At least teles would work, but I remember this conversation coming up months ago.

Also, you seriously think they are not using portals? LOL, no need to answer I just think its funny when everyone has this amazing idea which just so happens to be the most obvious answer that H3MT surely already tried.

I helped portal foundry(though my portals didn't come out as good as I wanted it), so I don't see why narrow would or wouldn't be portalled.

Seeing as the problem (too high poly) was already laid out before them as well.

Out of curiosity, why is it so high poly? Is the cause the cliffs or the structure itself? I really can't see that as being a high poly structure for as large a structure as it is TBQH.

I think we should just release a classic version unprotected at least. The only thing that saddens me is that sphinxbio will most likely make a cruddy h3 map.

You know what, HDoans as good as dead, and so is most of H3MT. I'm not even supposed to be here. I think i'm just gonna release narrows or foundry. First I'll see if veex wants me to add anything new, then i'll just release it and that's that. Narrows will use teleporters and the BSP will be released.

I don't know whether the stuff should be protected SO what I'm probably going to do is protect the map, and release everything separately.

Now I need some opinions. Obviously not all the weapons were textured. Should I use retail FP models, or the custom H3MT models, BUT they WILL be white.

These are the ones you have a choice of.

fail rod (not even in any maps)

Don't even bother with those three.

Brute shot = useless as sheeeeeet metal
splaser = overpowered, hard to use in close quarters

I also need a few things done that i cannot do myself.

Make a collision for a piece of scenery. Believe me, narrows' top half is scenery.
A chart\map\photo that shows the position of ALL grenades, vehicles, weapons, power ups and anything of the sort. I really need that.

Once that's done i can safely release the maps.

What's wrong with his tags? Honestly, the only thing wrong with his tags are some of the sounds. That, and some of the pick-up icons need work.

Halo CE "mancannons" are the result of explosion damage effects, and they tend to be extremely erratic. Take the map z_coagulation_h2_pb1 for example. The gravity lift in the bases almost never worked correctly, sometimes failing even when you were the host. That's why it was changed to a form of teleporter in pb2. My personal favorite was getting a warthog stuck in there.

You'd have to play those maps online on someone else's server in order to really know why everyone says they don't work.

Yes, they use flags to teleport the player whilst detatching the camera and giving a purple damage effect.

Narrows does not have to be perfect. But i would be able to make those gravity lifts through experimentation. Mainly because i have a trick up my sleeve.
