here's one of the Halo 3 Pictures i used as a ref (for colors and placing)


Resolutions are not proportional in these pics. The reticles are from Halo 3, I did not make them. Everything else is 100% custom and either made by me, or ImBrokeRu (cause he draws icons when he's bored).

I might start on the H3 Elite hud soon.

Looks nice, are those Sandtraps tags too?

All of these are either sandtraps, or just guns that are there. The ones that are not in the real sandtrap by default look like crud because... well they might not even go in, Like the carbine for example, it looks like poo but I doubt it's even going in sandtrap so why bother? But 094 is working on all of them anyway, so I might add them for certain gametypes.

I'm finding it really odd/bad that the radar overlaps the visor...it just looks really bad even if it is "accurate."

Waiting anxiously for the project to be released!

@Jesse: what in map of exciting weapons can give?

I am disappointed in the lack of a minigun

With the way I set up the HUD organization you can easily add a custom weapon with all the essentials (reticle, meter ect.) Once I release it, I'd be willing to accommodate people with custom icons and meters if they truly wish to use it.

Also, I really need some help getting a reference image from halo 3. You see, my Xbox does not have a hard drive, so I can't save pictures, play campaign online, or save films. I need someone who can take pictures of Halo 3 to provide me with an image like the one below.

For some reason, when I saved the JPEG, I paint bucket-ed the visor away, but now that is what I need the most. This ref image is relatively useless because I can't copy the visor proportions.

OH and it also has to be the same resolution (square, not wide) or else it will be useless.

Does it count to set the shaders of certain surfaces to partially reflect images of stuff? I'm pretty sure I've seen reflective floors where you can see yourself while standing on it, I think it was in C40.

Well, yeah, we pass a lot of content back and forth (not as frequently since we gave up on narrows).
Oops, I mean, er, narrows is just "on hold".

Slappy is a pretty capable guy, and a good friend. I told him to stop whatever he was doing to my old HUD because I am going to provide him with a new one. If I recall, he had something pretty big planned.



From the elite HUDs I've seen so far, It's probably made up of screencaps, which is why it might look similar to mine since mine is an almost exact copy. (which is what I was going for.) Post a pic so I can see.

you mean a machine gun turret or something else?, because i thought about making one but don't know how to make the part were you can snap it off the stand

Oh hell no. Don't use those PR animations ):

If ODX FP animates a snapped off version of the chaingun, I will script it to be detachable (for SP at least).
