No, we'll be sure to have it only in fp. Either that or script it client-side only, which is probably the better/easier way.

I suppose I may as well show it.

The concept of it is old, and it's really just an edit of the halo 3 meter I made, but it's going to be used in any sp mods. If anyone wants it just say so.

why wont you turn the health into little cubes just like in reach
so when you hurt, the cubes will disappear into the center

Think A10 cryotube.

That has been said over and over by everyone who did it. If people still don't know how to do it, then it might be a bit more helpful to tell them something they don't know already...

Use your brain, you have one, it's simple. There's a really SHARP cut off for the model in the cryotube and thats why it doesn't show unless your at a certain angle, you can use the same technique and apply it to when your doing the fp legs, i say no more.

He's right, and i also figured that out, but the thing that stumps me right now is how they made the legs part disappear, when the cryopod is still visible AND they're the same GBX model. Trippy yo.

Broke made the USP icon for me :D

That too. Someone else suggested LODs... since then it's been in use.

Nice First Person legs. but i should ask this. Jesse, have you gotten the Sandtrap lifts working properly? Or are they just the same as Sandtrap Version 1?

Grunts, i believe he does not have to tweak the game-play instead of this. He could delay it all he wants. And if it is a Sandtrap remake, then why not have the objects from halo 3?

Since I've done the narrows lifts, I guess he wants me to do the Sandtrap lifts too. It's done with a vehicle, new enter/exit animations, and a player increment script... easy stuff.
I don't know hoy many people are working on the fp legs at this time... at least me, and probably jesse himself. There are ways to do it with a vehicle or biped, through scripts or effects. I don't know how HDoan did it, exactly... this is hard. And we can't seem to be able to keep the player's mp color without having the player in a vehicle ALL the time.

I'll just throw this out there: it isn't feasible to create FP legs for an actual MP map.

I remember asking Kirby for his fp legs concept a long time ago (as per Jesse's request), and from what I figured out, it wouldn't work out. Fine, they have FP legs that walk and crouch (crouching required extra work), but you'll be unable to perform many of the tasks required for a multiplayer match, at least if you're using Doan's / Kirby's method.

I guess we'll leave it for SP mods without vehicles then. I'm not adding anything that doesn't work 100 percent correctly. The missile pod is one example. The Power drainer is one that works 99% perfectly, but if a player joins during the 30 seconds that the equipment (active drainer) is spawned, he\she won't see it, otherwise there's nothing wrong with it. The missile pods projectile either follows everyone including players on foot and vehicles, so it's either everyone or nothing which is pointless cause it was supposed to replace the rocket launcher which doesn't track.

its fine man

Also what do halomaps think

Old FP arm shaders

or NEW FP arm shaders (waiting on a new export that fixes smoothing and I will decrease the Parallel Brightness to fix that glossy look)

And in the second picture don't mind the white parts on the shoulder area, that's the rubber shader and you won't ever see it unless you use a FOV changer.exe

Um, the glossiness is what changed. But we'll judge once there is a 'final' picture.

Go look at painted metal, its shiny but it dosent reflect images clearly, or at all for that matter. Its just shiny.

If that's the same orange, I like how the newer shaders make it more vibrant and alive compared to the older ones.

I beg to differ
It all depends on the finish.

Why would a metal object that is being always used have a polished finish? If the owner cared about it enough to wax their car, then maybe, but we are talking about armour. Who would wax armour that they are always wearing?
... me, wouldn't want to look bad in my spartan armor.

It's the same orange color value in both pictures
