so far i am still in modeling. i am making it from scratch so it wont be perfect but it will still have the basic layout of standoff

They need to do way instain modder> who kill thier huds. becuse these huds cant frigth back?
it was on the news this mroing a modder in ar who had kill her three huds . they are taking the three hud back to new york too lady to rest my pary are with the modder who lost his huds ; i am truley sorry for your lots

Jesse keeps redoing the HUD over and over, not me. If it were up to jesse he would release it NOW with crappy bugs and terrible models/bitmaps.

He's right, but you also have to consider that it's against a black background. I'll fix it later.

it may have been on a black background, but it's easy to make a comparison of how much if affected the weapon.

that looks much better, still may be a tad too visible on the bottom half

Welcome to the world of centered-reticules, different FOV's, 4:3 Full Screen and 16:9/10 Widescreen.

It's not as easy as it looks.

they won't ever be perfect as the animations are rendered a lower on the screen in the later games, but it doesn't take a genius to know jesse's shotgun could be moved back and up, and it would look much more like they should

I can fix that' it starts with re-origining the animations and moving the reticle down. Then, there is a simple XYZ firing offset you can change in the tags.
It's just inconvertible because people are used to the centered reticle. I would do it for valhalla, but I'm too lazy to move all the sniper reticle elements down...

I'm fairly sure that those animations are mine, with a custom origin by ODX. I'm also fairly sure that I did these animations as a custom animation set rather than a Halo 3 copy (for the most part). They aren't really meant to be Halo 3-ish, and I actually like these origins more than the Halo 3 ones. Unless someone else wants to do a Halo 3 set, I'm sure Jesse is content with these. I really hope no one butchers them and forces them to Halo 3 origins though :]

Yea, they're either mine or teh lag's, depending on whether I remembered to send them to him.

more of what?, i have shown you what i have if you want something else. try making it yourself. i mean the only thing i haven't shown you guys is my reach plasma repeater in progress and that i have made the. projectile. for the needler rifle, not even the model of the gun, so if you want to see something tell me what it is, and if i have made it or know i can make it. than i'll show you, hows that to all you unhappy people out they're?

if i may make a suggestion to jesse; uhh the gradient should fade to completely transparent (on the visor) after about 1cm... that would make it seem more like halo 3. take it or leave it im just trying to help :)

Remember to add a heat radiance to the map aswell, in distances the heat can cause vision distortion. Not needed, but a nice touch, aswell as the reflective material in Sandtrap being lit up when a firebomb, explosion, or the sun glare hits it at an angle.

Yeah guys, you should totally add the ability to choose perms aswell, and dual wielding. You should also add bump mapping on the weapons and bipeds!

Almost done with the HUD. I'm in the process of cutting down bitmap sizes, making most things 16 bit, but not while sacrificing quality.

bottom half stands out quite a bit. put it in 720p, fullscreen, and watched. definitely stood out.
