Probably the same way as in coldsnap, using the pause menu to switch between seperate bsps.

from what I've heard, it probably won't, and even if it does, it won't be flyable.

We dont want the COQ to be flyable. that thing is way too huge!

but still the COQ is epic. w/ some touch ups it would be even cooler.

all of his maps have been styled around Human side because thats how most RP's are. there usualy boot camp. unless you find one of those lame RPG servers where your shooting at invisable enemys. i lol at those

Because I know that scripting multiple bipeds ala Halo 2's original idea of S vs E is impossible in CE due to synch problems I've had fun with people willing to pilot the covenant craft featured in one person's RP map.

while 16 people isnt enough, its alittle more fun when you're crossing a brigde when all of a sudden two people swoop in piloting seraph fighters and strafe the bridge you're on

besides we all know boot camp RPs degenerate into "ZOMG FLOOD" (unless you're one of those faggoty clans that takes RPing too serious)


Yeah , you've hit the nail on the head.
Some really fantastic RP directors are capable of moving a simple RP map into a great story though.

Red team Vs Blue Team

is the best RP out there. you guys all get into a Vent and act like a real war. i used to have a RPG beta 5 or 6 server w/ 1 life a Red vent and a blue Vent. it was a cool server. untill alot of ppl left.

Reminds me when I RPed alot,we played on simple maps and had imagination. We could spend hours on H2-innerpoa just on the bridge... now new maps don't let people think out plots, they just use what there is and don't expand:D

Since RPG4, these maps are part of a series hence why they all have the name Beta.doesn't mean I won't make stuff of other names, just that it's how it works for now. Also if you note RPG5 had some Civilian aspects to it

I think he keeps the name to continue the series, which is what it's turned into. Too bad Gibbo doesn't map anymore. Either way the new maps is for all type of RPs. You guys look at Military/War aspects, invisible enemies or not. Which I do and still have a good time. Point being not everyone does a Military RP. Think of the small amount that does life RPs (Not Me)

hey, uh just a quick question

masterz said he thought he found a way to make ai and vehicles sync right? If that turns out to be right, would you consider putting ai like covenant in like bases or on patrols as well as marines patrolling the bases, and make so you could do like missions with other players, like set covenant to take awhile to respawn in like bases so you can have insertions and do stuff like plant bombs in covenant bases and stuff?

I think that the weapons should be changed.
Sniper Rifle should be bolt-action.
AR needs to be an AR...
SMG?
Pistol should be a pistol, not a mini sniper rifle.
Covenant guns need to be special :)
Could do a lot of things, just don't feel like typing it all up.

Ideas:

1. If you can find a way to TRULY bypass the size limit of maps, you could create a whole group of islands for a map. You could release the islands as individual maps as well, but if you had them all as a group of islands, you could have more than one way of getting to them.

2. You could have a floating base, out of view from ground level, which could only be accessed with dev. This floating base could have a weapon which can connect to doors. You could use this to make some areas with locked doors, which can only be opened with this weapon. This could create a whole new range of roleplaying aspects.

3. On one of the islands, you should have a gigantic city.

4. Using the door opener item, you could have more than one base. For example, you could start off with only the one base, the military one where you spawn. Then you could have another base for each island that you go to, like in Grand Theft Auto, but Halo style.

5: You could have some AI bots that can only be spawned with devmode. This would control the flow of the game, while still letting you spawn AI bots to make the roleplaying much more realistic.

6. Make a new vehicle, which can only be opened with that same door opener from before. Have it somewhere in the city, or in a military base, on it's own parking space. For example, you could put the drivable prowler here, or you could just use the draco. Or you could even create a brand new, gigantic vehicle. Or you could have more than one vehicle which is locked. The possiblities are endless.

7. Have some kind of creation which only admins can get, which can completely control the flow of the game, making it easier to seperate the experts from the noobs.

Mazterz can say stuff, but we need proof before he posts stuff like that. if he can make ai sync we need proof. which i highly doubt because the net code dosnt allow it. Any way ai in an RPG map wouldn't be as fun. We've been playing RPG maps all this time. and just think how lame it would be if your trying to get everyone still setup and a whole bunch of elites try killing you. AI will never sync cause they constantly act Random. the Randomness will be sent to you but by that time it will have acted completly diffrent. if you could make the AI not act random they would sync. but then they would be boring.

Like I said, you would need to have them only spawnable by dev to keep them under control. Then they wouldn't act random.

you're maps however are more along the line of individual completed maps. thus the Beta moniker isnt needed

First Lee's nickname is Gibbo, not Gabbo.
Second Terrel modelled the RPG4 Bsp. Gibbo was modelling a sniper for it that never made it in game due to the leak
Third How do I know that? I was leader of the SPARTAN Project, the clan in which Gibbo and Terrel were in at the point and participated in every stage of the developpment, including RPG4's little brother little know of: Sanctuary.

I got over it with the hacked Tools, it allowed for it but Halo in game exceptionned. It hated it. As for open sauce, the moment it requires users to put a .dll we're in trouble.

thats why I said in certain spots, like certain select bases across the map, not everywhere!that'd just be stupid, I'm saying like in certain areas of the map so you can fly there over in a pelican and do something like have a person carrying a bomb (like the one with the oddball anims) and everyone can charge in, guns blazing, the guy drops the bomb, you get out and the place blows up! or like a prophet biped in a heavily armed ship, where you charge in, kill the prophet and fly away in a pelican, stuff like that. I remember doing the bomb thing on rpg beta 4-4, but there was nothing to fight so we had to pretend we were in combat, and I said, "wouldn't it be cool if we could have actual covenant or rebels to fight in the base?"and the host said, "dude that would be so freaking awesome!too bad they don't sync..."
