Forerunner design is angular and/or beveled and covenant design is fluid with wide curves. That has componets of both which makes it seem out of place.

A MP BSP I am working on. Nothing except the structures are finalized. The terrain and cliffs aren't modeled properly yet and I expect to get to those some day. Some GOOD criticism would be nice.

I understand that the map is a WIP , but if you haven't considered it yet , more structures might be appropriate , as well as hilly terrain.

Or if you want to keep the terrain flat add some of those stones in HangEmHigh for cover.

I think those would be too small for this map and anyway, I thought those are embeded in the map. If he has t make stuff it might as well be his own creation and not just a 5 sided object.

The terrain will be semi-hilly. The main issue would be cliffs and smoothing some portions of the terrain for when I finally do get to working on it. Also, I haven't put it in CE at all yet (inorite) and I haven't gotten the chance to put down boulders, some trees, etc. For the most part, the map is pretty naked and needs some clothing.

Just something I am working on. Pretty simple right now. I just hope I can get some good lighting affects to work. Obviously many flaws right now, but this is sort of what I am going for as far as looks. King of the kill on a small volcano. The map is just surrounded by cliffs too. Try to change to colors to the minor-style blue or something, and let's see how that looks.

It is a procedural shader so there are 2 color options in the shader settings that changes the diffuse based on the CC map. All the shader coding is behind a simple to use shader GUI as seen here. Edited by DEEhunter on Mar 31, 2010 at 02:30 PM

Almost done with the model now, just some cliff area left. The textures are still WIP and generally speaking I'm still working on getting better terrain and better textures for the a30 structures. This will be here for the beta of the map, so if any of you are wondering why I textured it now, this is why.

I don't think that metal would easily be cutting into the stone. Also the scratches on the metal look really unnatural.

You're right. the scratches should be on the edges where the most wear is done. like the loop at the top. a crane or something would pick that up and it would sway, causing scratching. the edges on the bottom of the object because of it being dropped etc.
