do I make the weapon float how I like it in 3ds?
my idea
1. import mark iii armor 2.import weapon model. 3. put it how I like it. 4. delete mark iii then export the weapon how it is with no nodes. 5.do steps 1 - 4 again 6. tool 7.edit cads scripts (or have gamma do it :P) 8.fame? Edited by Hydrogen on Feb 28, 2010 at 04:12 PM

No.
In order to use CAD's scripts, you have to understand how CAD did it. For every weapon, CAD made a new permutation that was essentially just the biped, with the weapon attached to it. He exported all the permutations into one single model.

Why are you deleting the biped that you're attaching the weapon to? You'll morph into a floating weapon if it works properly.

If you put regions, where the cyborg biped is a separate region from the weapon, only the weapon's permutation will change. And the cyborg model will stay the same. Basically, it actually saves space, since your not re-exporting the cyborg model with every weapon.

the slight of hand thing is in the FP animations tag, I believe. If I recall, you can adjust the speed at which the animation plays, and therefore speed up or slow down anything. however, it means that anyone who picks up that weapon will receive the same speed boost, so it wont play out like the perks system does.

Didn't know that; I did it based on scripts ._.

Bo that's not even a 'work in progress.'
That's just you taking the new image of Earth that NASA released, sizing it down a few, and pasting it onto a simple Halo skybox without even editing the lighting or anything of it, so it looks effing weird.
Just get out, I'm sick of this crap, there's nothing to say other than you didn't really give much effort into what you've done and you aren't getting anywhere because of it.

Get out. I don't see the 'fun' part in taking an already-made image, pasting it into a Halo sky, and then posting it for 'critique' in a Work in Progress thread. If it were for 'fun,' you wouldn't need to be asking for help and opinions, as you should only need yours since it's just for your own entertainment (unless stated/shown otherwise) and not personal gain in whatever skill it is you're working at. It all boils down to the fact that he has a WIP, and this is the WIP thread. Post critique or something useful, or stfu. Seriously, its a simple concept.
I don't find it all that appealing to have earth next to the halo, but whatever, its still something he put work into, even if it wasn't very hard to do.

Well it doesn't look like he even tried anything, I know he's better than this and would've at least tried to edit the lighting to make it fit in.
Don't get me wrong Bo, it actually seems like a neat idea but you need to put a little more effort into things before you post them. And make sure that when it's finished, you don't post it here, you make a [Release] thread for it.

Resulting tag size was 22 megabytes. Very unnecessary to compile it at 32-bit color. 2048x2048 is not even needed. derp derp derp even a 512x512 (or even a 256x256) will do with 32-bit. It isn't even that high-res from the screenshot. Do it right next time. Edited by Spartan_094 on Mar 6, 2010 at 12:44 PM
