Having a gravemind ingame, is cool, but unrealistic.
If you got it as a ally, he would be invincible.
Yet, he is very large. You saw the proto-gravemind in halo wars? it was a massive building.
Gravemind could be best way in, like cortana, a voice in you're head.
That would be cool :D

Gravemind is not in-game.
We have the flood fp anims in-game, but needs custom anims. L28 post an update on them whenever you see this.
Gravemind will not be an AI, it will most likely be a scenery object in one level.

Gravemind will not be an AI, it will most likely be a scenery object in one level. I do have the Gravemind ingame aswell, however I can't be bothered to animate that thing, so it's scenery. Connection of mobiles ftl, so i'll make it short. the blobs, flood stuff in the h2 levels on the BSP's, are actually scenery objects, so i ripped those and put them ingame as scenery, so you can floodify maps live rather than in 3ds max, wich i think you'll be pleased to hear. The human and elite flood forms are totally done, with random perms and stuff, so that's taken care of. the carrier, is now re-made as the first attempt was kinda weird, and now looks better with fine textures, i'll post stuff about it tommorow. human flood form has a more greener skin now. floodified MC for the gigglez, however you planned on letting the flood win so i don't think you'll need it bbl, tommorow

Alright, I'm back. This time at a crappy comp with a good connection *sigh* I havn't been able to crack this comp to acces my FTP since half of the ports are blocked, but whatever, I'll use another method to upload my pics, it's all on USB here =P Nice job on the forerunner structure, plane modelling is showing off here? =P oh and, the banshee's back is floating, you should angle it a bit and turn it to the side so it won't fly through the laser beam lol, it also reminds me of the H2 level gas orbit or whatever with the heretics, landing platforms there... Hope you'll add a nice door to the bottem of it, as it seems another door, i guess that's why you wanted that elevator i was working on =P *prays image works* Well I've been working on the flood hud, this overlay is BETA, I'm working on new effects to make it look more interesting, but this is a start. Noone has been able to play halo 3 it seems, so i just based this on nothing and tried some effects/shapes. This carrier is fully rigged and stuff, don't look too precise at the rigs, they're flood zombo's so it doesn't have to be perfect, I made the tentacles come out of the arms, like the other flood forms, rather than just a rope out of the body =P I have to make a new collision model though, this one fluked I made new damage bitmaps, so it spits gore on the sides of your screen when you're hit, however i didn't got a screenie of that yet, but it looks like the flood overlay i made but some more gorey like texture, and ofcourse seperate for each side of the screen, not as a whole, except if you want that. Here's a part of the gravemind, I tried using the actual size so it's huge, MC would fit in nicely. Note that this is in sapien, so it just looks worse, the first pic was HD thus ingame. No bloom on any pic here, xfire disables the DLL plugins anyways (think about that, opensauce) This is the human form, I reverted the textures to the orignal H2 ones, as no other form turns green by itself, it turns green because of the new biomass, wich the human didn't got that much, it's still mostly human, so my logic kicked in aswell as the knowledge of the novels, so i kept it this way This is the elite form, exactly the h2 elite, no further comments, oh yea the hand tentacles look kranky, however I don't really want to fix it, there is alot of other stuff to be done too. The flood juggernaut is a half pure form, but on installation 04 the outbreak just started, thus the flood can't be purified yet, plus we'd need a crazy new animation graph, so I won't include that. This is the bugger, I havn't decided yet to rig it as what, I could use elite anims, but elites don't fly, wich is the whole point of buggers =P So yea, they don't appear on 04 but it's not officially that they weren't on it either, we know for sure about the brutes, so i won't bother that one, but we don't know for sure about the buggers, atleast i don't, and it could be a nice addition, however I won't force you for this one, I'm just mentioning it again, I'll still work on it for my machinima though. Last thing, I converted alot more scenery to make it more interesting, as the default stuff is getting kinda boring =P I don'have pics on even half of the stuff though, so i will post it later well, that's the grand update for what i've been doing this weekend =P oh and, I'm working on a logo for the project, still working it though. And I thought halo used original names in the file names, could also be that the name drone was used by UNSC's news drone you see in the introduction thus leaving bugger. Funny names, covenant got their own names for their species: Grunt - unggoy Hunter - Lekgolo Elite - shangheili Brute - Jihiraldi or whatever Jackel - forgot that one =P Oh and I got a pedestal, might you wanna replace the holo from the pedestal with graveminds hologram or whatever, i'll work on that idea later and post it before ya'll go crazy =P it's the pedestal that the prophets are on around halo 2. The Drones wouldn't work well in CE because they have to be either flying or on the ground, and cannot be both, they would also fly similar to that of a sentinel, which is not very good looking.

Yea I fixed it, Re-did it totally, added a very nice gore, ditch the beta idea this one looks pwns =P I'm so sorry I don't have a screenshot of it D= forgot to put it on my USB... And eh, don't worry about the rest of the HUD, I'm working on it =P And if you really like the zoom effect, I could put that back aswell, I'll just make 2 versions to show you both, opinions about it after screenies, wich will be tommorow oh and, as I said before, I don't have a good connection with my mobile, so at home I won't be able to do big transfers like xfire ( ...err ) The scenery, yea stupid choice to show an unfinished com tower -_-' that one doesn't even use the correct shaders, everything is a shader_model and i slapped it directly from halo 2 on that model, however the rest looks better, as the com can't be worse Also, I did a BIG overhaul on the flood tags, however it messed my tag structure up and now I crash upon map start, I've been looking for the problem for hours, and nothing is working... So I reinstalled HEK, kept my old tag folder in the new one, and I'm hauling over every tag from the old folder to the new one BUT this time perfectly organised =P however my organised stuff means also making stuff independent from the original h1 tags, so I'm gonna be busy with that for some time before I'm back up running full again, this won't stop me doing the models and textures though, I'll have to make some collision models as you won't have any use for them without collision hah so last thing, rigging FP arms is hardest part, as I have my own methods and self written scripts of rigging regular models easier, but doing FP models doesn't seem to work well, can anyone rig them? it's actually just putting weights on them, that's all, and a few still needs bones, however I'll add the bones so that weighting is all that it needs... I know L28 is working, again just heard, on the FP arms, but it can't take weeks o.O is it done by now? it would be rather VERY helpfull to have new FP models to include in the tag pack. I sure hope he used the H2 arms though =P well that's it for my chaotic post, i don't have my new screenies with me, but expect a good update on the hud tommorow. It's an elite flood, so I'm basing it on the h3's elite hud Lone, PM me the level scripts (not the story...) and also the scenario files so that I can compile a map with my tags, and make several vids with it.
