Just posting to say I'm still around from time to time. Progress on the mod is still being made, albeit slowly. Some pictures as proof: I've also done some other changes to the level population-wise, and in the sounds/dialogue/music department. StKft is more-or-less 90% complete, just some further optimisation in reducing lag, adding the dialogue for the cutscenes, and it's finished. Note: For those of you who don't know what the last picture is, it's a Sentinel Constructor Facility, and will be featured in the Library level, possibly another too.

I'm working on the healthpack now, and perhaps something else. If I can get the healthpack done tonight, I'll upload a picture. And now some info on what's going currently: WIP Covenant Mortar Turret. One of the many new things that'll eventually be landing itself in this mod. A few things: The mortar will 'float' much like the Shade does when activated. The 'rings' will have the same type of shielding the deployable shield generators do. These shields will be in the centre of each ring. And the nodes are in the wrong placement. This is early WIP, but I figured I needed to show something in my post. I'm not entirely happy with the design currently, so any ideas/suggestions are welcome.

It seems like an awful lot of shielding for such a small emplacement. Removing them might not be such a bad idea, in terms of balancing firepower with vulnerability.

I think the rings on the oustide are too big and bulky, you could make it so the top of the shield wasn't a big thick structure, but a floating reciever for the shield itself.
Other than that, i think the front is a bit bulky, could we get a few more dimensions so we can see the height, length etc?

The Beta I played (Stfkt) was really fun and generally fluid. A few notes though: -The Flood, I thought, didn't swarm enough with Infection Forms and stuff. -I still felt like I was the MC, but on the Flood's side. I should need to feel like the rest of the Flood are just as ruthless as I am (look at Halo 3's Flood for instance). -Needs a shield bar and obviously FP arms.
A lot of fun though. I hope those notes help.

I think the feel less like MC you should have the combat form you control die in various cutscenes, and the control switching to a different combat form. One of the main things about being MC is that you are one, indisposable unit pitted against countless others. As the flood, you'd want this frequent dying and changing control to emphasis the way the flood rely on sheer numbers of cheap units to win.
