You people seem to be under the impression I've changed the sentinels stats. I have not. They die as easily as they do in the original campaign. The Sentinel Majors (Gold's) have about 1 and a half the hp of a standard sentinel.

The lag issues however are puzzling, I'll have to look into it. If you could explain as to where exactly it lags that would be great.

Rocket Launcher is not pick-up-able because, as Gamma said, I forgot to add it in. It will most certainly be in on the next release version.

i never ran into lag. game play seemed to work out. ad i love how the tables are turned now. as Chief sentinels were weak against your Armour but now as a flood you can die easily. just charge up a PP and take em out. takes 2 shots on the blue ones.

I don't know how high you will be able to jump as I've only seen one video about this mod. Make the jump really high, like combat forms.

The map needs portals, which I cannot provide. Mine didn't work that well.

Weekly Update #1:

Yes, I'm starting a range of weekly updates. Each update will be posted every Sunday (Except for todays) and will show recent work, no matter how little. Most work shown will be things the public gave feedback on in after the alpha.

Focus of this week's update is Population.

One of the main problems many people talked about is that the Flood don't seem to follow you anywhere. Well, this picture explains one of the implementations I'm making to several encounters in the map so far. Basically when the enemies in the area are dead, the Flood on your side will proceed to march forward to the next destination. So the map doesn't necessarily seem like you're the one going everywhere and doing everything, and it attempts to reinforce the point that you are one of many.

Obviously this will give you several advantages and disadvantages in the fact that the player has more fodder to hide behind (yay) and that the enemy may just prefer to attack you and your buddies entering the next area (boo).

This was one of the areas discussed quite a bit aswell after the alpha. This picture tries to illustrate how the level proceeds in this area now. The first black arrow originating from the bottom of the screen shows a movement command for flood allies entering from there. The X symbolizes the enemies in that region. What they both have to do with each other is that, once X is dead, your flood allies will beging to flank the enemy, instead of sitting idoly or stupidly running at the tanks, as is the alpha. Another feature is the inclusion of a Covenant position where the Flood allies will flank to. (Yes position includes fuel rod grunts.) And the last feature is that when all enemies in the area are eliminated, then and only then may the door in the tunnel where the second arrow is pointing be unlocked.

Basically the point of this video is to show some AI changes I made to some Flood units, or proposed changes depending on how the public feel about it. I've changed the Flood so they use firing positions logically and don't necessarily just charge you. Somewhat similar to Halo 2's system of Flood AI. Granted the AI are a tad strong, but I'll be removing that strength with weaker shields. Again, depending or not if this gets implemented is up to the community. If you want Flood to stay idiotic and just charge enemies then you'll obviously vote against it, but if you prefer having semi-intelligent allies then you'll vote with it.

I vote with the new AI. But maybe you should make it so that theres an option for some of the AI to be idiots and some to be smart. Like the marines could be idiotic and the covenant smart. Just giving ideas.
