You know why I didn't want to compile the level. Look what happened when I did? Were all my allies supposed to be blown apart by grenade spamming grunts? Were the marines supposed to be holding rocket launchers indoors? So let me get this straight. The only way I could work around this is to re-extract the campaign maps, overwriting all the tags that I've already overwritten, just for this campaign? I think not. And for transfer time, you have all the time in the world to upload it. You're the one compiling the final build.

And also, how am I not to assume how the level plays out, if you never gave it to me? You have the final tags, you should send it to me so I know what you want the level to be like. Don't criticize me for "assuming" how it's going to play out, if I can't know how. There's only so much you can do in Sapien, and a completely fuxed up build.

First of all, if you wanted a build so bad, then you would have accepted the numerous ones I sent you during the development progress which were test. But no, you didn't want any of them. So, excuse me if I didn't think about sending you some more recent builds. And, in conjunction with this, if you really wanted that build, you would have 'asked' for one. Or are you expecting everything to be delivered to you?

"You have the final tags". No, I do not, the only tags I have are the shielded flood tags. I criticize you for assuming without do fact, if you were really that interested then you would have what I said above (asked for a build, or actually accepted one of the numerous ones I sent you during the time I was still populating) or better yet, ask me how it plays out there, I would be happy to tell you, or make a video showing you. "if i can't know how" Wrong, you can know how, you just never bothered asking.

The whole stem of this argument is based on lack of information, from both our faults, now before both of us crap up this thread even more I suggest you contact me later via xfire.

Nice timing. I'm totally going to contact you via xfire when you're offline. And I just checked our chat record. You've never asked me whether I wanted a build. As for the "final tags", I meant your version of the original campaign tags. Mine are all modified. Yours are not. There's a difference.

TL:DR

This is all about populating, just look at the stock campaign, perfect placing.
Play C10 for all I care, count the ammount of flood bipeds and covenant forces etc etc.
Solves balancing issues if you please. And I'm talking about Legendary difficulty placing, only those were good.

All this >=( stuff made me lose first place on this page. I hate you all D=

Good idea. We'll have thousands of infection forms pouring out of every room possible. Lone however, doesn't like this perfect image.

Congrats. You got top of the page again.

It was balanced out well, the covenant was tough enough on legendary to actually shoot the infection forms instead of worting around the room screaming death.

Anyhow, some encounters had flood winning, some covenant. but as chief you had to eliminate both anyways. look at the encounters that had covenant winning, and look why.
it's not just about the numbers, making it like the way the covenant would always win without you interfering makes it atleast worth jumping into to solve otherwise. It still has to be challenging, and not by outnumbering, that's as simple as making AI tougher by making them walking aimbots.

I dislike the overused infection form waves though, once near, the enemy will be occupied by them.

More infected forms, less infection forms.

The image portrayed later in the level was that the Covenant were on the run, not that they were ownz0ring the flood cuz they were l33t liek dat. Instead, they were trying to leave the area alive, and lock the facility back down.

stationairy turrets are not indicating that this was a quick exploration mission,
plus the fact that the covenant was rushing IN while you were breaking OUT when you cleared the room.

I guess the whole level needs a better concept then. All I noticed when playing it was that I got outnumbered heavily at some parts, which was easy to fix though.

Which is PRECISELY what I'm arguing for. The "easy to fix" part is made complicated by Lone shouting at you over xfire telling you to keep it the way it is.

So I worked a little more on this, and I have added lots. The render sucks, because when you import a wrl file, the scene becomes horribly glossy or something.

There will be water on the mossy area.

Oh is that why my map's model has cruddy renders? :C

Looks good, except that from that vantage point, you would be able to see over the edge of the cliffs.

WHY ARNT YOU ON XFIRE?! how's my bubble shield effects going!?!?

But anyways, yea actually I think you do need to see the part over the cliffs, but model the horizontal parts a bit and let it go down again, because I don't want a claustrophobic feeling when I go outside to get rid of that feeling lol. Atleast you can get to see the sky that way.

Xfire doesn't like me, crashes all the time. The effects are still in progress, as I'm trying to find a way to make the lens flare look good.

Yea, about that, Lone disagrees with my ideas. But instead of both of us arguing about it, why don't we ask the public?

Poll:

a) More flood encounters, flood pouring out of every location possible
b) More superior beings known as "Covenant"

Can I haz both?

Got it in game again. This is where you will hit a switch to release the rest of the flood.

I think this would be more plausible. The Flood don't "hit" switches; they destroy the generator powering the switch.

Destroying the generator powering the door would cut power to the door, rendering it inoperable. So that would not work.

Oh, and the whole switch thing wouldn't work either, because I sincerely doubt the Forerunners made their technology work for Flood.

I vote just destroy the door.

Good thing the Flood like to commandeer Human and Covenant vehicles and weapons. Like tanks. And Rocket Launchers. AND NUKES

I dont see what work there will need to be done.
And destroying it will be funner than just pressing a button.

He /ragequit because school started. (jk) Lone and I got into the EXACT same argument over the covenant vs Flood population problems. B/c Lone never would send me the file to play the map before it goes into beta i was forced to look at BP's broadcasts to critique... The first thing that i thought was totally wrong, was sleeping grunts. There should not be sleeping grunts in an area where according to just about everyone they were "rushing in" Why not have infinite spawns for both covie and flood so neither one gets wt-PWNED. Not only that, but why are we keeping the sheild and health of the spartan for flood? -.- Can't we do something original like 'death is not the end' because this is the flood... there isn't meant to be a single juggernaut flood host.
