This is the Semi-Official TCEM thread. Keep it clean and I hope what you find here is entertaining to you. I will show some of the progress on my SP in this thread. All of it is WIP and should be taken as the worst. Criticism is accepted as long as you give good reasons why you criticize. The following pics are meant to show that I have progress on the SP Community Crossmod and not to for anything specific. These pics are random. You have been warned. *More pics will come soon! Your standard AR that will be used in this SP, it can take down enemies with a 32sized clip and fairly concentrated bursts. This weapon was crossmodded and credits will be do when the SP is released,as anything is subject to change. The three infection forms are stuck in mid-air somehow. Random I know. b40 showing new sky and placer spiker model. Big WIP. Just another random pic I took. It shows the precision carbine taking the place of the Battle Rifle. It should look much better now, with more complete geometry and better texturing. SP Status: 75% (calculated without b40): Pillar of Autumn:70% Halo:70% Truth and Reconciliation:75% Silent Cartographer:80% Assault on the Control Room:????% 343 Guilty Spark:81% Library:89% Two Betrayals:75% Keyes:85% The Maw:85% These will change over time. I hope to see the mod released before CMT SPv2. No release date is final, but a good estimate is late June to late July. Enjoy the thread! Feel free to post freely under the rules of this forum. Learned more on Editable Poly recently. A lot more useful than editable mesh. Especially extrude. I was finally able to get the Precision Carbine more finished as well, but it won't appear in-game, even though I added new shaders and changed the gbx and fp models. Actually, I am working on modeling that concept.
It is coming slow due to other interests, volunteer work, and a bucket full of cheese crunchies, but actual modeling has started. I am worried about some areas being too low poly and blocky, but I will look into that after most of it is done..
and concerning the fact that only one base was drawn, I was simply too lazy to draw another one, mirrored.

A30 worked great today. Enemies weren't weak, Precision Carbine was a key weapon, and the new trees added very good scenery. Here is a pic of the improved Precision Carbine: It is still WIP, but getting very close to being done. It fits well with the Halo-style. Made a30 feel very natural.

Alright, during the time between last and this update, I got word from CS Floyd that he wanted to help me with my mod by allowing me to use his Ma5k. This gun has always had a reputation of being, the Anti-Flood Gun. Why do you ask? We'll talk about that later. Now, behold CS Floyd's model come together to help with this mod! Comes with a built in laser and kills flood like nothing else can! This is potentially a WIP with the model, as it is Floyd's decision if there must be changes. And now here is the biped I found somewhere sometime ago that may possibly be used in the mod. I would really like to meet the person or group of people who made this biped. It's really good, but I need to ask their permission if I can use it for it to be in the mod. Alright, back to the Ma5k. As ya'll know, the Ma5k was the Scope-less BR model I made from scratch that you saw earlier. I removed it. However, we now get Floyd's model in its stead. The Laser definitely adds quality to it in the swampiness that is c10, no doubt about that. That is its first appearance: Which is only one reason why it is the anti-flood gun. I wanted it to be the gun that can defeat any foot enemy. And I highly use the word ANY. The Flood are monsters. There are only a handful of weapons that can kill them. The Ma5k is one of those weapons. I just played on Normal against them and when I had to resort to any other weapon, it was nearly impossible to kill one straight forward. Here is basically what it takes to kill a combat form: PR: Overheats AR: 2 clips+ Needler: Two Explosions Ma5k: Half a clip or less. Shotgun: Same old same old Spiker/Slagger (same thing): 1 clip or less. AC: ? Pistol: ? PP: ? *Heavy Weapons are obvious. *Use grenades a lot! So you want to use this weapon whenever possible. It is the all-round, best primary weapon. Now, I have multiple slots open for weapons that you may want to contribute to. If you have any weapons that you would like to see in the mod (since this IS somewhat of a community mod after all), please tell me immediately via PM or xfire (darkhalo003). Here are the slots: -Plasma Pistol -Shotgun -Pistol -Extra Weapons (turrets, grenades, blah blah blah) The mod will be updated more now, since things are running smooth again. I also want to thank CMT (and I sure a lot of us do) specifically for the corrected monitor animations. Although they are publicly released, they have allowed me to get closer and closer to finishing this Community Crossmod campaign. I hope to bring cooler stuff into the mod as we go along the next month.

But he had other stuff to work on, so he couldn't change anything anyway. I am working on c10, c20, and c40 today. You'll see more pics soon. I have been balancing the enemies to the weapons so things aren't too easy and not too hard for both sides. If anything, the Flood would be impervious on higher difficulties. I believe they may even have swords now? Not too sure, as a lot of the Flood, if not all, on c10 only wield human weapons, PRs, and slaggers. I have also been toning the Covies' health as well. The first half of the game and normal jackal feature the "common needler." However, on a50, Grunts now have the devastating H2 Needler (that's its tag name), which can strip your shields in a matter of seconds. This is why it is important to always have a headshot inducing weapon at all times. I have also decided to include the Double Speed powerup as well, mainly for those on higher difficulties. You'll need it. I also want to include the Full-Spectrum Vision powerup as well, but it doesn't work well at all (unchanged except for the morale boost). Anwyays, you'll see new stuff soon, hopefully from the community. *And to Advancebo, I can possibly add in the Ghost Turret, but no Pokebombs. It has to remain somewhat related to Halo.lol.

Hey DarkHalo, do you want some of my Elite MP AI tags? Originally, I had them for SP levels before I turned it into a MP version. They hold most weapons, and if one isn't there I can easily add it to the list.

You might want to change that, it seems a little.....extreme. And the carbine looks a little too big, like it takes up too much of the screen, and like selentic said, you might want to change the reticle.
