I don't think they're gona go in CE though, idk yet.

That process is called UVW unwrapping. There are tutorials here, you could search for them.

Not that good. But it's my first biped made in gmax.
I haev to rig it now.

BTW the hands aren't mine, they are the halo one marine hands.

I see, but they wouldn't be able to cling to walls and such, would they?

Unless they could walk on any surface, and had a special animation for landing on different walls?

lololololol i make my self laugh XD i gave my self 20 minutes to draw/model/uvw unwrap/texture a character that's 5 minutes on each bit XD u will see y its not gd to go to quick XD

its not to bad :P but i will admit though i gave my self 20 minutes it took me 27 XD 5 minutes drawing (i could only make the front view didn't have enough time) about 10 minutes modeling 5 minutes unwrapping (the reason u will be able to spot seams with ease) and 7 minutes texturing:P

as u might have realized i was bored :P
u can see the uvw map ;)

yes i didn't finish i wonder y XD

the other reason i did this was to see what i needed to work on major 1 is modeling ;P


modeling getting better ;P

Few things:

1. Make the textures better please, they look very terrible right now.
2. Fix the visors, they need more color and detail. And should be actually attached to the helmet.
3. Why does the shotgun have a scope? It's pointless unless a shotgun can shoot 500 meters...

I actually think they are ok except for the visors and the arms of the bad guys. those weapons are bad you should trash them. I do like the idea of merging covenant style armor with human, it looks pretty interesting it just needs to be less sloppy.

So I decided to start making this thing for this thing, and I decided I would show a little something to show i'm actually doing something.

Here is the unwrap for the thing (i've already started texturing it, but this is a teaser):

I didn't unwrap it, I think doan did when he rigged it and everything and released it. But the texture job he did sucked horribly so...I decided to redo it from scratch so I can learn how to better.

for the bad guys you just took h2 odst and edited bitmap to fail even more, and added a h1 elite helmet model onto his head....


wow and there's more fail to go with that, the shotgun just has the sniper scope with some material id changes. you fail.

and even more once again, you merged the shotgun and the assault rifle for the bad guy, "your so good at modeling and texturing" /sarcasm

take h2 odst's bitmap, overlay the alpha 1, and ta-da, hdoans odst skin, he did that with every h2 bitmap, added every alpha 1 to the orignal diffuse bitmap in the models he released

I didnt even touch the uv's, I imported with uv's on.
