I'm not sure if these ideas are even plausible, but i have come up with two about the elephant.
1. Is it possible to attach the respawn point to a bone or polygon? 2. Is it possible to attach a teleporter to a bone or polygon?
Not sure if either of these are even possible, but it's my two cents.

Not sure if either of these are even possible, but it's my two cents. If you're aiming for the elephant to spawn ontop of that, even IF it was possible, wich i highly doubt, no i can even say it's not possible, you'd fall off anyways as you can't get a grip on the surface, so if it moves you'd fall off anyways wow this topic actually died out, what happened?

All that was shown was the model. Not the whole thing. Yakz gave his model to people who asked, thats over now. The only group working on Sandtrap is CLS Grunt and such.

What i meant was to have these objects attached on a bone\invisible polygon away from the elephant a few feet(behind preferably) so that they still get the advantage of spawning where the elephant is and not get run over :( .
Edit: I also have another idea. If it is a solid piece of geometry, shouldnt it still be possible to add turrets and guns on it that u can man? So then it would be an immobile fortress. Edited by spaceboy221 on Jan 23, 2009 at 05:02 PM

The elephant can only have 1 gunner. Which would be the standard turret that is on the elephant.

It was either: -a leak -a cry for attention -a practical joke -a leak
I say it's a leak because the weapons were rarely placed in, the vehicles were hardly placed in, and not all of the weapons and stuff were even MMT's, which had a different tagset I believe.

I don't think it was a leak; it was a beta. I talked with the lead guy in MMT and he was like "I know, it's only a beta, we'll fix it all eventually". Not only that, but the readme had all the stuff in it, (credits and such) and was written in a way that you wouldn't write like if you were leaking someone else's map. As for the entire elephant problem, couldn't you A) Make it go so slow that while you couldn't stay still on it you coulc still walk forward to keep pace with it or B) Just make it a stationary scenery object or part of the BSP?

It's a beta that was given at twice for 5 minutes, I'm surprised it took the person who got it a month or more to upload it to Halomaps. It's not a leak.

Did they not realize: -The map is awful in scale to Halo3's original. -The map is terribly UVWed. -The map doesn't even have MMT weapons, if they ever had any. -The map has hardly any placed items across it. -It looks like the work done in two weeks instead of two (or more) months.

This thread isn't really about MMT-Sandtrap, or anything anymore. Really the project has been handed off to Grunt, and now that he's ungrounded I got off my ass and I'm working on more animations for once. Fortunately or unfortunately, I'm loosing my touch in copying Halo 3's animations...or at least for the bloody rocket >_>
