Most of the work is porting over the instanced geometry (foliage and rocks), of which there are over hundreds placed in the map even if we only copy the unique models, they exist in various sizes which require us to group clusters of them into one scenery model (bounding radio may affect AI behavior) or use a scale script to edit sizing of one model into many (some rotations won't work due to node locations not working for all positions and directions (IE, a rock halfway into a cliff face)
As I am sure it is the same with Matt, I switch between porting the latter section of the level and working on various other projects (mainly one unnamed, CMT, and The Pit)
We will very likely be using Matt's h3 tagset since he has OS shaders on the weapons, something I can't afford due to tagspace restrictions on The Pit.
If I remember correctly, Matt stated that we'd be using OS for sure, but whether we use .yelo or .map depends on what we need for the level.

I talked to matt and me and mikecyborg will be working on the halo 3 tagset. I will also be handling the opensauce shaders. As with both jesse and matt me and mike are doing this as a side project but in our cases it coincides with our projects and allows everyone to get things done faster.

This project was started in June Ask Kirby for H2 anims, they work very good with most H3 bipeds like brutes, elites, grunts, buggers and hunters. That's not why they need it, they need the Halo 3 animations for many things, how the Marines move, the marines climbing the waterfall, the brute holding the marine about to kill him, the cutscene where you see Johnson being beat by the Brute Chieftain, and that same cutscene where the Arbiter is talking to Master Chief.
