I'd still have to fix most of the instanced geometry, either seal it (I have explosive damages in mind with this) or turn it into scenery. Keep in mind that the first pic has a lower FOV. Also, the retail BSP has higher quality lightmapping. My opinion? Keep both if you can. The most optimistic result is both can be released. I dunno if you're that committed to this project though. My vote goes to custom.

as I see custom should have a better geometry for halo and save you sceneries. ANd there is not a big difference between both BSPs

Yeah, but my BSP has more of the filler stuff attached to it; some of the panels aren't scenery, they're actually attached (plus, polycount for the retail model was without IG) I may stick with mine, although I now have a heck of a reference model :D

If your having problems uninstalling OS.
You could...
A:) Perform an advanced search for any Open Sauce left over files, stuff like registery keys e.t.c
B:) Use an advanced uninstaller, such as REVO. Which coincidentally is what I used to remove open sauce!
But this thread isn't about that so PM for further details.
@Jesse: I think using your custom BSP would be better, but use the retail bsp as a trace for parts your struggling with.
Other wise it would just be an uninteresting copy. Using parts of the retail BSP on your custom one is okay too, for those small tricky detail parts....
Good progress.

There are too many, tagset team folders.
Can't we all consolidate our stuff into one folder.

@Jesse would you mind using these firing effects instead of the ones you use in foundry??? I'd be happy to port them into your own tagset. (which escapes my mind) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLnfepIbXVI Weapon from the Zteam tagpack, effects creator me.

Yeah I know, I forgot to take that into account when I modeled them. I sealed them with the intent of creating a collision model, but I guess it's not needed. I should use the unsealed model I saved so that there won't be any unused polies.

Personally, I do not mind emulating a little, but full on copying is what I hate.
I also don't really like zteam too much either, but I respect the time and effort they put into there tag pack.
The only reason I used there H3 ar is because Mootjuh told me too.
It would be much nicer if we all had a general tagset folder for every mapper to use and pick assets from.

As apposed to having 30 different team folders in the tags directory, I would rather have them consolidated all into one folder, that way. Your eyes wouldn't bleed every time you wondered into your tags directory.
Keep the custom stuff away from the default stuff.
