Explain this one to me. How well has your spelling and grammar improved since you've met me Nickster5000? :-) Not very much, because it was originally good. If you're trying to imply that you mentored me in my spelling/grammar, you're wrong. **Slides knight piece into place** Edited by Nickster5000 on Apr 28, 2013 at 06:58 PM Well, since you've met me, you've stopped using phrases such as "prey" when you're talking about it in the religious form, as well as "familulr" and "ellaborate".. whatever the hell those are. So my dear Nickster5000 I do believe I've made the final move. Queen takes Rook; Checkmate. :-) And how does this contribute to being a noob? More importantly, how does it contribute to the thread? Checkmate. It contributes in the fact that we're reminiscing about the times we, or should I say you, were a noob; is that or is that not a part of the topic at hand? Nickster5000 I do wish you'd stop using "Checkmate" unless you knew for a fact you had won. Jesse was referring to the fact of being a "noob" at halo mapping, not on an individual level. If you were able to "read" the other responses, you can observe easily that people were referring to themselves as mapping noobs, not a nooby person.

Yes all of this did occur during your period of halo mapping. It's time to stop.

Nevertheless, it was a release. I told you numerous times I would let you go if you stopped. You could have avoided this, you know.

I remember a lot of awesome people from back in the day. Halo Guru, Massacre (who was still around for some time and helped with Lumoria), HDoan, Taimat, Disaster, Sheer, KID, etc... All great people, all people who contributed to these forums and CE, also inspired people like me to keep on keepin on.

haven't learned a single thing about modding halo maps, probably will never get around to doing it. my only knowledge is making dumb HHT remakes of campaign levels with overpowered weapons for the sake of having a good time. oh, and cubemaps.

Welp, been here since February. Ah, those were the days. I kindof migrated over here from Mac demo modding. I was pretty comfortable with it but the tools were so limiting compared to what I could do with CE, so I bought bootcamp for my mac and here I am now. Still trying to get used to Tool and all that, so I haven't really released anything. I feel so intimidated by all the scripting and modeling and all these weird functions that I feel like it's a bad idea to ask anybody how fire positions work in Sapien. But anyway, this was one of the mods that I made with demo. The single thing I released, but I still love it. http://www.macgamingmods.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=100&t=18500

Hmm.. Well, I never stopped being a noob on this site as my account isn't even 3 months old yet but in general, I can't really say that I remember when i was a noob. I've always caught on to things pretty quickly and I've never been the type of person that required someone to hold their hand constantly. Before I joined this site, I had a history with a few other forums and I've also had a backround in coding (C++ and Hexadecimal). I've also established myself as a hacker/coder for the Psp, and have proven myself on multiple occasions (I've worked in Coder PR, NightPR, created a signing eboot to open up homebrew applications to the non-Cfw world back when 6.20 was the latest Psp update.) Asides from that, I've had history in management of Forums (Roleplaying forums, gaming forums, anime forums, you name it.) Oh, and not to mention the whole Pokemon rom creation thing. So err.. Yeah, I can't really say I remember. However, if you were to talk to some of the more avid coders in the Psp userbase like P2Ruffian, maybe, he'd most likely refer to me as a noob. Sorry for the rant.

While I got a new computer, I come from the same mac-based origins as a bullet. And I actually remember playing on claustrophobia. Good times. The mac tools have actually made quite a leap recently, with one for tag creation in alpha. I just can't quite make myself break the connection to demo/trial modding. Anywhoozle, I am still getting used to everything here, and am learning new things all the time.

I remember I would mod Halo trial maps and make the rockets have crazy amounts of homing, start a server and kill everyone using the rocket launcher. It was quite hilarious and I would win everyime.

I remember when I didn't know anything about modding... I still don't :( Although I did manage to mess around with plasma grenade fuses and created the "Delete Gun" (pistol with 9001 force/damage). I'm proud of that.

I first joined this site not long ago, fumbling my way through the dark in halo ce. Now i look back and rember all of the problem solving. One time i screamed at my computer because tool coudn't compile my model, ahhh good times Now im using Unity, i feel the frustration coming back. But the halo ce engine ill aways use just because it reminds me of a simpler time. LOVE HALO CUSTOM
