Why wouldnt you just move the h1 bones into the same position as the bones you have?
Then just apply the new bones to the skin.

It wouldn't be hard to make a Gbxmodel exporter, which would be cool. It also wouldn't be hard to make an external script that dropped bones that got h3 bones, give them h1 bone names, and remove extra bones. but that would be stupid.

Adjutant sure is awesome! Gotta love its flexibility and all...but...I have a question for Gravemind (or anyone else that might know). I would like to take a look at the Pillar of Autumn MAC cannons firing effect. Now...I am not sure how Halo Reach is setup with particles and all (with a particle editor or using bitmaps), but if someone know how and where I can find the firing effect for the MAC cannon, please let me know.

I know that...but there is no way to extract them from what I can tell. When I try to right click-->Extract....I just get a message saying "You cannot batch extract a single file". So...from what I can tell...this message means that these files cannot be (yet) extracted. Unless....I am missing something. Also...where are the bitmaps for the firing effect for the MAC cannon? I did look in the fx folder...and could not find them. Or am I over looking it?

I know that...but there is no way to extract them from what I can tell. When I try to right click-->Extract....I just get a message saying "You cannot batch extract a single file". You ONLY right click->extract on folders. Otherwise, open the Raw Extractor tab, then click Export Model, for models, or click on the bitmap you want to extract, then right click this: http://i.imgur.com/7VHol.png, and use Extract Bitmap.

And, regarding the bitmaps for the firing effect, I'm not sure if there are any. Look through all the .effe and .lens files, the bitmaps (if any) will be linked through those.

This is a bit rediculous. All I'm trying to do is extract three bitmaps from a firefight level (Beachhead) and I keep getting unhandled exceptions. What i'm trying to get is "objects\characters\spartans\bitmaps\spartan_helmets\spartan_helmet_player_linda (diff/cc/normal) but I keep getting unhandled exceptions. Maybe every map file I download from everywhere is corrupt. I don't know. Sounds like my kind of luck.

Either that or Adjutant.

Either that or Adjutant.

Do you have shared.map, campaign.map and mainmenu.map?
If those are corrupt, you'd be lucky to get anything. Anyways, I highly recommend ripping them straight off the ISO, rather than using XBDB.
PM me for a more reliable download if you need one.

It's an Xiso, look for the command line program that extracts it. I'm telling you this because I'm sure you didn't download it, you ripped from the actual disc that you paid for. There's a similar program in development that can open maps straight from an xiso file.

Okay I followed what he said and got the files from my Reach disc after I put it in my computer. Then I used wxpris to extract all of it. Where do I find the map files in this big mess?

Just wondering....will the extraction of sounds (or sound files) ever be possible? I would like to listen to some of the weapon sounds within Halo Reach (mainly).

A friend of mine got sound extraction working kinda for Halo 4, lots fx sounds and some music. Grave mind, would you like some code for that program to see if it can help in H3/ODST/Reach?

Hey Gravemind, would it be possible to extract halo ce anniversary models?

If you have time after fixing up reach extraction and want to continue with adjutant, that would be cool. It shouldn't be that hard, right, since it uses the original engine too?

If you close Adjutant and run update.exe manually it should work. Otherwise, you can always get the newest exe from here.
