Kornman and I have been playing it again, I really love this game. Anyone else that likes it or still plays? And can anyone answer why no ones made a grizzly tank for CE?

I use to play it a little bit. Its a good game, just generally gets pretty boring quickly, at least for me. Not very big into RTS, I guess.

and as for your second question there's no one badass enough to do that beastly tank justice. Edited by Delicon20 on Jul 7, 2011 at 10:01 PM

well that's good because i won't have to edit my post
the game is a simplification of 'real' other real rtses for the kind of people that frequent this forum
it was executed in a way that didn't really moving the halo universe anywhere
it's like world in conflict--it can be fun, but for an rts, tactics don't play as big as a role. Edited by Gurdy on Jul 7, 2011 at 10:21 PM

never played it and never will..... looks boring Stop judging a book by its cover. Your opinion is invalid and your like any other stupid video game idiot who judges by its cover. You will never have a good taste in games if you do this. You have no idea how fun a squad of Vultures (you dont know what these are) fully upgraded are, and base defense, and much much more. You can not have a say if you have never played the game. By looking at it you can have a opinion, but its invalid.

From what I've played it was neat to say the least, but I didn't ever feel like I was doing much and it was getting to be boring.
I guess I'm just too used to Starcraft II and couldn't exactly play the game "correctly."

For a console RTS I'd say it was really good, and I enjoy it. I was once in 1 hour and 45 minute match once online 3v3. It was fun,. If you want to play Ill play it for sure. It's fun. And I don't suck at it like I do with Starcraft 2. XD Thought SC2 had an amazing campaign. Edited by MatthewDratt on Jul 7, 2011 at 11:50 PM

I don't have an Xbox, the only time I get a chance to play Xbox games are when I'm at a friend's house, and generally we waste no time in getting into the FPS's. So, never touched it. Besides, don't see how an RTS can be fluently played with console controls. More into Company of Heroes right now.

They should've expanded more into different classes and upgrades, a lot like how AoE2 did it. Of course, AoE2 was for PC, so there is the main factor there. Still, the game is enjoyable, but I hate how you can't control more than one species at a time in a battle (for example, you can't control both a Covenant and a Human for a 2v2 match. That would have been ridiculously cool.

Halo Wars wasn't too bad. The only thing I really hated was the lack of action, controlling separate units and other units may prove to be harder than it is with the mouse and keyboard. Also, using the controller, for me, dramatically decreases my actions per minute lool...

Defeating your enemy via a rush is hardy worth the effort. You tend to get less than 1k points (final score, not base). I don't see any enjoyment in brush firing someone, only to get a measly 500pts. It's much more fun to do an early battle, but not an early war winner. To paraphrase Masters, you attack the enemy early so that they're then always one step behind you for the rest of the game (unless you slack off, letting them catch up). Shaking the hive nest, if you will. There's no challenge in rushing someone. We had some idiots attack us probably three minutes into the game. They (one arby, one brute toot) just built 3 buildings, not doing any upgrades, then attacked my base (I was the arby too). They used all those starting resources to build suicide grunts and just took out my base. It's like people idle in Reach's FF, they're benefiting (however small) from your disenjoyment. I play an RTS game for a challenge, not some cheap hat trick.

I love playing deathmatch and getting every single base on the map bar 1, then getting 99 squads of ODSTs, lagging up the game, letting the enemy get all the bases back, and then see how long i last :D

I love taking my time and making the game seem more scenic/epic than quick/dull. I think that's why Reinforcements is a step in the right direction; no rushing allowed within the first 3 minutes of the game without having your opponent capable of doing the same. How would Rushing within the first moments of the game be fixed though?

Non-rush modes can easily be implemented, and frankly should be implemented into each RTS as an OPTIONAL game-mode for those who prefer it (including me). Would have been awesome, so awesome for this game. I think they tried to do that with the rebels in the middle of the maps that had the energy barriers controlled by watchtowers. Regardless, that idea fell through. I really wished the game would have implemented something like that, though.

A Flood team for Halo Wars would/can be extremely OP, especially the fact that combat forms are the basic fighting unit and massing Infection forms supported by both combat and carriers will make the game no fun.... IMO

IMO I don't know about anyone else, but i have the most fun in a RTS when i spend all my time upgrading my lower units, and then spamming the hell out of them. Quantity over Quality, except it's more like quantity with class.
