Why do you want to attach them? They're separate BSPs for a reason. There should be know problem having them apart since Halo automatically manages loading between.

3DS max is better but you have to pay for unlike Gmax. I still think you're making too much work for yourself if you're trying to get this in-game.

It is a pretty complicated task for a beginner... I have released some time ago Exodus which is exactly that... performances are horrible, I partly blame my portalling. I released it simply because it had been idling on my comp for a couple of years and I thought it could interest a few people.
