So I went and tried that, but it didn't work. Then qwerty told me it was in the sky tag, and it was. You're supposed to set the yaw and pitch there. It's fixed now.
Edit: I also did the river's stream overlay, will post pics when someone else posts.

Isn't Valhalla supposed to look a bit more...vibrant?

Depends on how you define... "supposed to look".

This is what it looks like right now.
'In before' someone posts large IGN photos of valhalla to show me how wrong the map is in their opinion: Don't post huge ign pictures to show me how wrong the map is in your opinion. Just say it.

Edit: I guess it's just a really subtle effect. The flow is easier to see when it's animated.

Yeah the map is a bit more faded than what you have now, mainly the cliffs are lighter. There seems to almost be a blue-ish tint in Halo 3 as well.

Mainly I'm just bothered by the trees, but it's probably just Halo 1's lack of AA.

ODX, the blueish tint is fog, most likely from the snow coming off the cliffs. Also, your grass is way to green, make it a little lighter?

Better color scheme? I liked the scheme the way it was before, but with some work this could be cool too, and more accurate.

Yes that looks much better, but the overall map still feels dull and dark for some reason..

remember someone was talking about a blueish tint? ionno you can try it out :O even if its fog from the snow mountain god

Ya see, it was brown, the way I liked it, but the more grey rock looks even more like Valhalla.
I think it depends on what refs you want to compare it to.
Yeah, I added fog again just now. I took it out before because it was annoying.

^ I added some spotty rock patches and some yellow to the grass.

im loving it, it all looks awesome, i like the darker look, the pic of xbox360 valhalla looks dry and dull, slappy's looks sexy as, good work guys!

Well... that's what #3 is for. Unless I try to piece together my own tag set, which would probably be a disaster, and you would have to download the map overnight.

I have a couple problems with this map is that it does not have enough 'defining' lighting, or trees shadows! Also if you look at that this reference screenshot ( http://images.wikia.com/halo/images/b/b5/Val_ext3.jpg ) the water needs to be a LITTLE bit more greyer/ lighter. As it was posted earlier I know it is possible to get more exact shadowing than that. One you do that the map would be perfect visually.

May the audience please stop referencing the crap out of Val_ext3.jpeg. Congratulations, I have now seen Val_ext3.jpeg 1000 times. It was 999 five minutes ago when the last person posted it.
Better shadows would require someone trustworthy, quick, and who actually knows and can complete aether lightmapping. Lightmaps have been on the list of things that I would hope to get done. But I have to get through the list of things that need to get done first-- I hope we understand.

i dont think slappy's intention is to replicate the 360 version to every last detail, and what's more, its impossible and there would b no fun in that anyway, might as well just go n play a 360.
lets not forget the beauty of ce, theres room for variation, ie. greener grass, bluer water etc etc
using a concept for inspiration to create is fun and exciting, just copying something to the last detail is a waste of time.
imo odx's grass looks more natural than the wiki pic, the 360 grass looks.....whats the terminology? tiled?

Wouldn't you be able to make the transmission seem more natural, more smooth? Maybe round out the edges? Just a suggestion for visual appeal.

several things you need to learn.
1. What complaining means. Seriously dude if someone puts LOL next to something it is usually best to take it in a joking manner.
2. i know this map has a lot of people working on it but that doesn't mean i can't offer to do what i can, it's called being polite, and if it is rejected i will stop, but that hasn't happened yet, has it?.
