Has anyone ever thought of taking a full panoramic from the middle of the map and piecing it together in an image editing software then switching it over to sepia to make it so that when you look into it you can see the map reflecting in it, the visor i mean. It would make the map a ton more realistic looking, i think, if you did that Edited by grunt_eater on Jul 19, 2011 at 11:35 PM

The cubemap would be static, as in anywhere you are, even in a building, the reflection of the map would still show. Its better with a normal cubemap like it has now.

And also in the original halo PC b30(the silent choreographer) in the security override room if you look down you can see yourself is this a script or what?, and can it be added to other objects like a visor?,

It's a mirror shader on the floor. It can only be done for BSPs.

Grunts, we have halo 3 bitmaps, but thanks. The "fresh coat of paint" is how it looks in halo 3. We want them to look nice, and accurate. Grimey might be acceptable in single player, but that's not the look we're going for here. The base, however, could use some grime. Qwerty's been working on the spartan color change, detail, and diffuse for a long time to get the desired results. I think we have reached them. Even if spartan094 wanted to give us shaders, it would be really late to do so.

Halo 3 Oddball Red VS Blue Shaders I ain't using any detail bumps anymore. MAROON: COBALT: Later, I'm gonna try to upload a video on youtube of the masterchief lights that glow and change colors according to your team color, easy stuff, but also pretty good looking in my opinion.

It looks almost like the exact same without detail bumps now that I created new shaders for it today in the morning.
Besides, detail bumps give the spartan weird smoothings on the bitmaps.

From what I recall, the river had mostly the same depth all around, and deep enough to fit say 1.5 times a 343 guilty spark.

Well, I finished the cannons yesterday, and we tested them. The alpha had a bug where people would get stuck in the cycle of the cannon. So yeah... guess it's on to tag work again.
