That looks nice!! Looks like metal now... Accept the front part of the Mancannon looks nowhere near the metal patterns that are in Halo 3. Edited by 1bobsam1 on Jul 7, 2011 at 04:14 AM

Also here's a video that can be pretty nice reference footage for what ever you guys may need it for. I want to make sure you guys get ALL weapon placement correct, anyway I can help? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvOx9VhLd5w&feature=fvwrelEdited by 1bobsam1 on Jul 7, 2011 at 11:26 AM

As far as I understand, Zigadirasu is editing the map, something I said not to do when I gave him the alpha. The shaders don't look that good, anyway, just ubershiny and uberbumped. Mine look almost like that at a certain angle, anyway.

Quote: --- Original message by: SlappyThePirate I also have a bitmap Higuy, or Qwerty might want to add in, to save the sake of sending it to both I'll just post it here for anyone to use. It's panels-3. For some reason I can't find it in any halo 3 map files. The custom one I made is not too good. Edited by SlappyThePirate on Jul 6, 2011 at 10:39 PM Sorry to butt in here a little, but I actually have the entire updated/fixed pack that I released in .tga format instead of an Unreal package like the original, including the full sized version of Panels-3 (assuming you haven't just extracted it from UE3 already for your map). You can download the pack here: http://www.modacity.net/forums/showthread.php?19579-Forerunner-Asset-Pack-WIP&p=587195#post587195 You're free to use whatever you need or haven't been able to get from the Halo 3 files (in fact, anyone on this site is free to). Just keep in mind that these speculars and normals were made with Unreal engine in mind, so you might want to alter them to your liking for CE.

The Beta's weapon placement is the closest to CE-capable. The only things that aren't CE plausible are Dual-Wielded weapons, Trip Mine, and Bubble Shield (though I'm just saying that because equipment is quirky in CE).

I have found a way to make the plasma grenades stop bouncing off the ground. They'll just stay there until some poor sap runs into them causing a huge chain reaction that trips the other plasma grenades. There was even a similar tag on halomaps but it uses a different method. http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=4795...and while we're at it http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=4608-Zekilk

I think mechanics can be put in even if they are not 100% reliable. I recall the original stationary shields in stock maps don't sync completely either? But that rarely ever causes a large problem, and I doubt the bubble shield would be much worse, it should be fine to implement it.

I've made a tripmine, there are pics somewhere earlier in the topic. The shader/bitmap needs work, since it's just a strait rip, and I need to add health to the collision so it destroys itself. I think I could replace the regenerator that's supposed to be in there with the tripmine. TOher equipment I'm not so sure about.

Here, I'll outline the two problems with bubble shields in CE: 1- Clients will drop 2 of them at the same time, though I'm sure someone fixed this or maybe no one has 2- Grenade explosions go through the bubble shield, to a point you'd have to either reduce the grenade's damage radius or make the bubble shield's radius bigger

speaking of explosions and shields, would some one explain to me why you don't get damaged when you hide in the teleporter on bloodgulch, but if you create a exact scenery tag you do?

Well obviously rocket explosions are the same as grenade explosions in terms of how the engine sees them, so by saying what I did I meant that too.
Also I've never seen one that fails to work, they would just always drop 2.

Well that's a crappy map with tags thrown into it so obviously it's going to be buggy. Be interesting to see what the shield itself looks like and I could probably locate it's origin.
